Chapter 32: Feels Good

Alessia slowly walked towards her phone where it had landed like it was an alien that had just descended into her room. She slowly picked it up, her hands trembling as she clicked on the notification that led to her bank app.

"50 million Euros!" She gave a hushed scream. She went blank for a moment. It was from an unknown sender. "What if it's illegal money? What if it's from a robbed bank, fraud," she kept talking to herself. She walked towards her window to see if there was any suspicious movement outside. Seeing there was none, she shut the window close and threw the curtains close.

Quickly, she dialed Matteo's contact, the sleep in her eyes now completely cleared.

"Hey, Alessia. Is anything the problem?"

"Matteo, I saw a huge amount of money in my bank account. You wouldn't believe it."

"How much?" Matteo responded in a hushed tone.
