He turned to enter the lobby, the cool air of the hotel providing a brief respite from his anxiety. Hirvan scanned the room and found a quiet place to sit.

Taking a deep breath, he pulled out his phone and dialled Fu Yan's number, his fingers trembling slightly as he waited for the call to connect.

"Fu Yan, where are you? I am in the lobby," Hirvan said, trying to keep his voice steady. He listened as Fu Yan apologized for being stuck in traffic, reassuring Hirvan that he would be there soon.
