Chapter 17: THE GIRL FROM MY MEMORY

EMILY'S STANDPOINT 

My face lit up in a smile the moment I completed the last documents. 

It was way past my closing time already but I couldn't go home because my amazing Boss told me that I couldn't go home until I was done with the last document.

He was pissed at me and I don't know why. 

Did I say or do anything wrong?

As far as I was concerned I've been on my best behavior since the beginning of today. I even helped him out of the fiery clutches of a woman ready to devour him and now he is being annoying. 

I packed up my things, frowning.

"Does he have periods? Is that what is giving him mood swings?" I couldn't help but think aloud to myself.

"You know a guy that has his periods?" Maxwell gasped, walking in on me and I frowned not so glad to see him. 

"Shouldn't you be home by now?"

"I had to stay late hours because of the project Alexander pushed to me," he replied, rolling his eyes.
