Chapter 36: This is the inscription of "Salvation"

[The repulsion from the Path restricts you from absorbing imaginary energy within the Path.]

[The Path itself has no will, only rigid rules binding everything within it, even the Aeons are firmly bound by the source of the Path.]

[You cannot escape the constraints and repulsion of the Path; you have truly arrived at the crossroads of the Path.]

[Will you walk back to the broad and bright avenue, or tread the thorn-covered shady path?]

[Facing the crossroads of the Path, you will make your final choice—]

The text on the screen gradually faded away, and a special text box appeared:

[You have the opportunity to stir waves across the star sea, your legend is being written.]

[And only you have the right to pen this legend—will it spread across the star sea, or fade into obscurity?]

[Everything is waiting for your answer.]

The text box turned blank, waiting for Ron's input.

Ron stared at the blank screen, lost in thought. This time... is it the same kind of autonomous decision as the epic simulation?

This choice is so important... What kind of future will it bring?

I need to think carefully about what to do.

After a long contemplation, Ron took a deep breath and seriously typed his choice on the screen.

The text box on the screen gradually disappeared, and with the unfolding of old film-like footage, the screen began to play a story with an old yet exquisite filter, with red light swirling around the edges.

In the image, the snowstorm raged, antimatter particles surged at the edge of the front lines. The flames of Preservation shone on the front lines, as the empire's army, relying on the imaginary energy drawn from the Path, overwhelmed the Antimatter Legion.

The battle had been ongoing for months, with frequent reports of victory from the front... until a war machine, loyal to the will of Destruction, emerged from the end of the snowfield.

Made from the grievances of countless bones and the shadows of past calamities, the war machine's body burned with antimatter engines, flickering like dark starlight in a decaying universe.

It wielded a greatsword of Destruction, a symbol of its rank within the legion and its destructive achievements. This Calamity Vanguard was responsible for igniting the final flames of the apocalyptic war, burning the world.

Regardless of where the flames of war were ignited, no matter which deity once favored that world or how glorious its legacy was, even the brightest civilizations among the stars would be annihilated by the legion before the calamity.

This planet would ultimately become like extinguished embers, fading into the dark depths of the cosmos.

And Yalilo-VI would be no exception.

The Calamity Vanguard approached from the end of the snowfield, with flames flowing down from its steps, burning the ice-covered ground.

The wails of vengeful spirits echoed across the battlefield with the burning flames, and the planet, sensing its impending destruction, wailed from the depths of its stellaron.

The flames swept across the front lines, turning the previously advantageous situation into chaos under the Vanguard's dimensional attack, forcing the lines to retreat to the Iron Wall of Belobog.

The empire's army fought with all their might, but could not stop the advance of the Antimatter Legion.

The front lines were on the verge of collapse.

And Ron, as the empire's general, stood defiantly before the Calamity Vanguard—

"Stop showing off in front of them... Come, face me!"

Dark golden crystals climbed up Ron's body, transforming into a massive crystal giant blocking the Vanguard.

But the Vanguard merely floated in the air, casting a contemptuous glance at Ron.

It casually lifted its greatsword, the dark silver blade swallowing light, and slashed at Ron with the gray flames of destruction.

Cracks spread across Ron's crystal armor from that single strike.

But he took a step closer to the Vanguard.

Seele watched the screen, her heart pounding faster, sweat forming on her forehead and sliding down her cheeks with her worry.

This... was the enemy that destroyed the entire planet in the last simulation.

She still remembered the cracking sound of the earth when the flames burned the world.

She remembered the unending cries of despair during the destruction, and the despair lingering in people's hearts.

In the Antimatter Legion, war machines were true abominations capable of destroying planets and civilizations. Ron, a mere human on Yalilo-VI, was like a grain of sand in the vast star sea.

Countless beings like him had been crushed into dust under the iron hoof of Destruction.

Could Ron... really deal with the threat of Destruction?

No... I can't doubt him, Ron will definitely succeed!

Seele shook her head, shaking out the doubts and fears, her eyes filled with determination.

She had done everything she could, giving Ron the greatest support—

Now, she could only hope for Ron's performance.

The screen continued to play:

The flames of destruction burned the sky.

The amber crystal shattered into dust.

The battle between Ron and the Calamity Vanguard had reached the heavens—or rather, the Vanguard's pursuit had reached the heavens.

Victory was only a fantasy... Ron had no power to resist the Calamity Vanguard.

He was using all his strength just to stay alive under the Vanguard's attacks.

He could only keep creating crystal platforms, using the imaginary energy to build steps and leap towards the sky.

But the Calamity Vanguard clung to him like a bone spur, tightly pursuing him.

Ron's body was already covered in wounds, the flames of destruction burning on him, his flesh scorching in the intense heat—

His life was nearing its end.

The Calamity Vanguard looked at Ron mockingly, raising its sword again, the dark light on the blade intensifying.

This strike would determine the fate of Ron, the insignificant bug daring to resist it.

It would personally send Ron to the path of destruction.

But at that moment, Ron merely looked at the Vanguard with a smirk, a hint of derision on his face.

He spoke calmly, "Hector knew the kingdom would fall, Achilles knew he was walking to his death, but they still stepped onto the battlefield without hesitation... In this story destined to be a tragedy, no one ever hesitated or wavered."

"Because they all held the obsession of [Salvation] in their hearts... Failure is just another interpretation of success, even if the end of the story is shrouded in despair, there will always be those who look forward to the dawn, no matter how slim the hope."

"What... are you trying to say?"

The Vanguard's voice, distorted by the trembling antimatter engine, questioned Ron for the first time.

But Ron simply looked at it calmly, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a glass jar—

Inside, the sealed stellaron emitted a gentle glow.

He exerted a slight force, easily breaking the seal, holding the stellaron, now radiating malicious energy, in his hand.

Heavy crystal spikes rapidly grew, forcibly piercing the stellaron, flooding it with infinite imaginary energy—

The once gentle glow of the stellaron now fluctuated violently, exuding a dangerous aura.

Ron grinned, declaring loudly to the Vanguard—

"The aspirations of all beings converge into a single grand wish, I stake my life on the stellaron, and gamble on the fate of Belobog—"

The stellaron, pulsating with radiant light, cast a destructive glow on Ron's face, revealing his slightly mad expression.

"I heard you measure rank in the legion by the number of destroyed civilizations?"

"Then step forward and listen to the symphony of destruction with me!"

"Let me show you the [Emblem of Salvation]!"
