Chapter 26: Temptation’s Edge

…the tinted car drove to the garage and the side door opened. My heart had left my body, you don't need to look too closely to see me shaking. Instead of Carlisle, Lucas stepped out of the car. 

Just immediately, my fears were replaced by desire. Lucas was not aware of the pool of heat that he invoked in my body just by his looks. He looked like he just got out of a GQ cover. 

And he was heading straight to me. My treacherous mind went back to breathing controllably, this time not from terror but in excitement.  

"Hello, Brittany. I thought I might find you here." 

Brittany

Yeah, you got it. 

Deep voice, check. 

Nice smell, check.

Did I mention the ridge of his packs? 

Oh, I am sure I mentioned that he put on dark shade eyeglasses. It made him look badass and yummy.
