"Boss!"
As Sharlo walked toward the port with a sword hanging from his waist, a subordinate carrying a gun hurried over.
"Boss, everything is ready!"
Sharlo nodded and handed over a map. "Head to this location and plunder," he said coolly.
The subordinate studied the map briefly. "Yes, sir!" he responded before rushing to the ship.
"Brothers! Set sail for the Kingdom of Colent!"
Sharlo stood at the ship's bow, gazing at the distant sea. Other ships in the vicinity noticed the massive vessel, one hundred meters long, and the prominent flag it flew: The Eighth Division of the Rocks Pirates!
"Are they heading out to plunder as well?" countless pirates mused to themselves. For what other reason would pirates set sail but to plunder? They wondered who the unlucky target might be.
Brrrring! Brrrring!
"Hello, is this Navy Headquarters? The Eighth Division of the Rocks Pirates is setting sail, likely for a raid. Be on alert!" A pirate-disguised agent hidden in the port reported.
"Message received!"
At Navy Headquarters, the messenger immediately rushed to Steel Bone Kong's office.
"Admiral! The Rocks Pirates are on the move again!" the messenger reported.
"What? Who is it this time? What's their target?"
"The Eighth Division captain, Rockefeller Sharlo. The target is unclear, but it appears to be a raid."
Bang!
"Damn those pirates!"
Hearing the word 'raid,' Steel Bone Kong erupted in anger, waving the messenger away.
He contemplated calling on a vice-admiral from the New World to capture Sharlo, but he knew no one there could match Sharlo.
The navy was critically understaffed. Most of the strong fighters were deployed across the seas, while he had to stay at headquarters.
"Curse those pirates!"
With no manpower to spare, Steel Bone Kong could only let Sharlo go.
"Why do so many strong individuals join the pirates, while the navy is left shorthanded? I must request more troops from the Five Elders!"
Steel Bone Kong resolved to demand an expansion of the navy's forces, though he knew it would be a lengthy process.
...
"Boss! We're almost there!"
A subordinate cautiously approached Sharlo, who was standing at the ship's bow.
Sharlo opened his eyes, observing the faint, enlarging black dot ahead.
"Prepare to fire!"
"Yes, sir!"
The subordinate rushed to pass on the order.
"Ready the cannons!"
The crew sprang into action, positioning themselves at the cannons, and aiming at the coastline.
In the port of Colent, citizens saw the approaching ship. Lookouts quickly identified the flag.
"No! Pirates!"
Seeing the flag, they shouted in panic.
"What? Pirates!"
Upon hearing the lookouts, people were stunned, watching the pirate ship approaching.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sharlo's ship began bombarding the port!
The cannons at the bow fired at the coastline from a hundred meters away!
"Ah!"
The cannonballs instantly killed four people, sending the port into chaos.
"Help! Pirates!"
Countless citizens started running in panic.
"Where are the pirates? Where are they?"
Hearing the cannon fire and the citizens' cries, the city guards quickly arrived.
A general with a handlebar mustache led over a thousand soldiers.
At the bow, Sharlo sensed him with his Kenbunshoku Haki.
"Interesting!" Sharlo remarked calmly. "There's actually a strong individual!"
He found some interest in the situation. After all, it was a kingdom with a population of tens of thousands, so it was normal to have some strong individuals.
The general also saw the pirate ship shelling the port. Seeing the flag, his face turned pale.
"I knew it! I knew the kingdom's actions would bring disaster!" he murmured in despair.
Sharlo ordered the ship to dock. Seeing a young man leading the crew, the general's face turned ashen.
"Blood Swordmaster Sharlo!"
Among the thousand soldiers, some recognized Sharlo from his bounty poster.
"Blood Swordmaster Rockefeller Sharlo, bounty of 590 million!"
Hearing the general's words, the soldiers' hands trembled as they watched Sharlo. His presence made them shiver.
"Heh heh heh!"
As the ship docked, Sharlo's pirates jumped off, greedily eyeing the prosperous city and its luxurious palace on the mountaintop.
Clank!
The pirates lowered the gangplank.
Sharlo walked down slowly.
Standing at the harbor, he looked around.
"What a prosperous island!" Sharlo remarked, reminiscing about his homeland, Kame Island.
But then his eyes turned cold as he looked at the thousand soldiers blocking his way.
"Surrender and live!" Sharlo declared without even glancing at them.
His voice wasn't loud, but his subordinates echoed it.
"Surrender and live! Surrender and live!"
Nearly a hundred pirates brandished their weapons and shouted.
Despite being outnumbered, the soldiers trembled in fear.
The mustachioed general looked at his troops. Their morale was gone.
This was bad!
In desperation, the general stepped forward.
"Pirates, st—!"
Before he could finish his sentence, a white slash flashed. His words were cut short.
He felt a pain in his body and then lost consciousness.
"General!"
The soldiers called out in shock, looking at Sharlo as if he were a monster. This young man had killed their general with a single stroke.
"So noisy!"
Sharlo sheathed his sword.
Clank!
Clatter!
Countless weapons fell to the ground!
The soldiers dropped their weapons and stepped aside. They didn't dare resist anymore.
They saw their general killed with one slash.
Not only did they drop their weapons, but they also shouted, "Long live the Rocks Pirates! Long live the Rocks Pirates!"
Sharlo glanced disdainfully. The loudest shouts came from the well-dressed officers.
He ignored them and led his pirates toward the city gates.
