The next two to three hours were a blur of love and passion, as they forgot about everything else and focused on each other.
After lunch, Diana and Russell left their apartment and drove to work. Diana headed to the American Museum of Natural History on the west side of Central Park in New York, while Russell drove to his office at the Octopus Detective Agency in Hell's Kitchen.
The two locations were conveniently close, less than 3 kilometers apart, which made it easy for Russell to visit Diana for lunch. Russell had chosen to open his office in Hell's Kitchen because of its proximity to the museum, but also because it was a well-known hub for traversers in the Marvel world.
As a detective, Russell appreciated the unique security environment of Hell's Kitchen, which allowed him to utilize his professional expertise. The agency's name, Octopus Monster Private Detective Agency, reflected his eclectic mix of skills.
Upon arriving at his office, which had been closed for several days, Russell opened the windows to let in some fresh air and then sorted through the stack of letters and requests that had accumulated at the door. Despite his relatively short time as a private investigator, he had built a solid reputation in the field.
Russell owed some of his success to a Japanese elementary school student who had brought a strange aura of death with him, causing fatalities wherever he went. Before crossing into this world, Russell had learned about this phenomenon, which had seemed like useless knowledge at the time. However, it had become a valuable skill in his detective work.
As a result of his good reputation, Russell had established a strong cooperative relationship with the New York Police Department and had even become a consultant for them.
