Michael decided to go to the meeting alone, but he also wanted to be cautious.
He told Alex about the note and asked him to follow behind and keep an eye on things.
"Be careful, man," Alex said, his eyes serious. "We don't know what we're dealing with."
Michael nodded and set off towards the old warehouse, the note clutched in his hand.
He arrived at the warehouse, his heart pounding in his chest.
Sarah was already there, her eyes gleaming in the dim light. "Michael, thanks for coming," she said, her voice low.
Michael nodded, his eyes scanning the area. "What's going on, Sarah? What's this all about?"
Sarah hesitated, her eyes darting around nervously. "I'll tell you everything, but first, you have to promise me something."
Michael raised an eyebrow. "What do you want me to promise?"
Sarah's eyes locked onto his. "Promise me you won't tell anyone about this. Not even Alex."
Michael's instincts screamed at him to run, but his curiosity kept him rooted to the spot. "Okay, I promise," he said finally.
Sarah nodded, a look of relief washing over her face. "Good. Because what I'm about to tell you... it's big. Really big."
As Sarah began to speak, Michael leaned in, eager to finally get some answers.
But before she could say a word, her eyes flicked to something behind him.
"Alex!" she exclaimed, her voice angry. "I told you to come alone!"
Michael turned to see Alex emerging from the shadows, a sheepish expression on his face.
"Sorry, Sarah," Alex said. "I was just worried about Michael."
Sarah's face twisted in anger. "You promised me, Michael! You promised you'd come alone!"
Michael held up his hands. "Sarah, I can explain -"
But Sarah was having none of it. "No, Michael. You've blown it. I'm not telling you anything now."
And with that, she turned and stormed off, leaving Michael and Alex staring after her in confusion.
"What just happened?" Alex asked, scratching his head.
Michael shook his head. "I don't know, but I think we just got played".

As Alex watches Sarah depart he can't but ask "Michael Do you think she should go after her".?
