The match began soon after. Lin Feng and Ai Jiangtu were the first to complete their spells with little to no difference in their casting times.
Ai Jiangtu went for a sweeping attack with his Space Rthym intending to disrupt atleast three mages even though they were spread apart after Lin Feng's instructions. His Fourth level mental strength made his space spells quite malleable as well.
Lin Feng on the other hand didn't have compromise range for strength with his third tier Intermediate Water spell with a spirit seed. Water intermediate spell had more coverage than the Fire and Plant counterparts, loosing out only to Ice element when stacked, but Water spell was instantaneous.

However, just as his spell was about to breakthrough Ai Jiangtu's Space Rhythm he quickly deflected the water away to the sides.
Lin Feng's group was not fazed as they quickly got into the battle plan which was fairly simple he wanted to isolate Jiang Yu and Ai Jiangtu from corporating and establishing dominance.
Li Kaifeng and Zu Jiming was barely able to keep Guan Yu and Zhou Xu busy, while Jiang Shaoxu kept Dongfang Lie mute cementing his relegation to the National Hall. While his trump card was obviously My Ningxue's domain that would deal with Jiang Yu.
The teammates were rather open to the individualized battles as they needed to show themselves off as much as possible, especially Mu Ningxue since their qualifications hung on balance.
Mu Ningxue knocked Jiang Yu out as Lin Feng barely kept pace with Ai Jiangtu as he increased his efforts. Dealing with someone like Ai Jiangtu was only possible if you had the same or higher level of Mental Strength and equal or better cultivation. Even a Focus Necklace would be leaving too much to chance.
It was in the domain of Mental Strength that Lin Feng lost out.
