Lin Feng didn't really hope to change much in the Bo City disaster, even if he said a lot he would either be distrusted or questioned, unless he could get to people like Tang Yue and Zhan Kong but he still needed evidence and above all he would be targeted by Black Vatican if he acted too early as well, that's why he left so late.
Mo Fan's duel with Yu Ang ended three days ago, and as he was supposed he won with his Lightning element and was protected by the higher ups in Bo, even Mu Zhuoyun didn't say much in the following meeting.
There were one three days for the crisis to ensue and the students were staying almost full time in the school due to the upcoming exams.
Although he couldn't change much he did hope of saving as many of these students, intentionally or unintentionally he had become friends with a lot of them.

Lin Feng was reassured after sensing that he had grown a lot stronger compared to the day of the duel. An intermediate mages senses were far better than a Basic mage, and his physique was now beyond any athlete in history but it was still within the limits of humanely possible.
" I will join as well" Lin Feng said out loud as the students were pondering over the plan.
" Well Lin Feng, you should stay, I will go with the group and one light mage is enough in the group" said Xue Musheng, although he appreciated the kid's courage and wanted more of these elite class students to join, he didn't want them to be slaughtered either. As a Basic Light mage there wasn't much Lin Feng could do in danger, especially when he had almost no experience.
