Chapter 100: Pre-eclampsia

Nicholas and Lucas were both scheduled to testify this afternoon and tomorrow. Today they would start with Ms. Marta as a credibility witness to confirm that Ana had told her about the abuse when she was just fourteen.

Ms. Marta that would confirm that despite her city's mandate she had believed Ana so much that she had let her go rather than turn her over to her father. It was the only time she had ever done such a thing.

The shelter coordinator that had taken Ana in as sixteen and helped her get into nursing school would also testify to her character. Nicholas would confirm that he had personally given her the scholarship because of her exemplary drive and test scores before knowing her as his sister-in-law.

The family of her first patient, Mr. Morris, would testify to her caring nature and the diligent care that their beloved father had received.
