Chapter 16: OFA and the burden of power
~POV: Akira~
After today's lesson We meet the other first years waiting at our door. I didn't want to be involved in this mess so i just stand here and watched the whole ordeal with Shinso, Bakugo and Tetsutetsu
When this whole farce is over, i turn to Izuku
"Tomorrow..."
i said to him. We already arranged our meeting at the training grounds
"Yes!" Izuku seem really fired up
i nod back, the others are wondering what we talked about but before anyone could ask

Poof...
I disappear in smoke from everyone's vision
"He vanished!?" (Kaminari)
No one dares ask Izuku what they meant. The other first years seeing me vanish without understanding what happen starts to fear what might come with me around
The next day, i'm currently at the training ground alone waiting for All Might and Izuku to show up. it's 6 in the morning. After practicing a bit since 5, I felt All Might's and his successor's presence entering the building
"Good morning Young Uchiha."
"Good morning Akira!"
the two greet me enthusiastically especially Izuku
"Good morning you two"
now the serious stuff can begin. they join me a the center of the training hall Izuku faces me.
"So Akira where do we begin"
All Might is about to go at the edge but i stop him
"First, All Might i have a question."
All Might gets curious about what i want to ask
"What is it my boy?"
"Did any of the OFA users experienced accelerate aging or body deterioration?"
All Might's face is one of surprise
"You can guess?" (All Might)
"Who do you take me for? I have great sensory and analytic abilities i remind you."
"Right..." (All Might)
"What does that mean?! The OFA makes you age faster or deteriorates the body!?... " (Izuku)
Izuku begins to panic, fearing for his life. I place my hands on his shoulders to calm him
"Calm down Izuku, nothing is going to happen to you listen to the end would you?" (Akira)
"R-right..." (Izuku)
'You really panic easily don't you?'
I will do something about that confidence of yours too...
"Anyways, you are right there are such cases as early as the fourth user."
All Might answer.
"As early as that huh?" (Akira)
"W-w-wait a second can you explain to me. i don't follow..."
Explanation time is it...
"Now i will explain from the start. Do you understand that every kind of power has a burden?"
"A burden?"
"Indeed, whatever the power's form is, there is always a burden to the user and it takes many forms. For quirks you already saw that there is a limit to their usage." (Akira)
"Indeed you can't use it recklessly otherwise side effects will appear." (Izuku)
"Right? Every time you use a quirk, it puts a burden on the user. It may be big or small there will always be a burden. It can be as small as using stamina or as high as taking the use's life." (Akira)
"I understand that but i can't see the link between aging faster and boosting one's prowess." (Izuku)
"Actually you may not be aware of it but the simple fact of owning a quirk passively put a strain on the body."
in my case just having chakra, sharingan, Mangekyō Sharingan etc... puts a burden on my body even if it's negligible. A good example would be Kakashi, since he isn't an Uchiha, or at least not from any clans related to Hagoromo, the sharingan puts a heavy burden on him and this is worst with the Mangekyō Sharingan. Even if he isn't using it it drains his chakra constantly which is probably the reason for his lack of progress past a certain point
"Is that so? I never knew." (Izuku)
"Of course you didn't know, quirks putting a heavy burden on the user by its presence alone are extremely rare but that's not the subject i suppose." (All Might)
All Might interjects
"Indeed. All Might why did you choose Izuku as a successor?"
...
All Might stays silent for a while but still answer. I know that Izuku is still asking himself if he there is a better successor.
"This high school has a lot promising students but... I was quirkless in the past." (All Might)
"All Might! you were quirkless?!" (Izuku)
"Indeed, my mentor had a quirk but gave me the OFA because she believe in me and made me the hero i became. I saw myself in him but i now sincerely think he has something that only him has." (All Might)
"All Might..."
Izuku became emotional but sorry we have better to do. Though i agree with All Might there
"Or so it is, but there is another obstacle in having someone else as a successor." (Akira)
Izuku snapped from his state
"What do you mean?" (Izuku)
he ask. All Might though seems to understand what i want to say
"We were talking about burdens since a while ago. As All Might probably told you OFA is unique. It grows more powerful with each individual. On the flip side however, it has become too powerful. Now the OFA as it is, is so powerful that giving it to someone who already has a quirk will kill them given enough time." (Akira)
"I see..." (Izuku)
"You can take me, Todoroki or Bakugo for example. If we got the OFA we would be extremely powerful but since our quirks already are already no joke power-wise, our bodies can't handle the burden and will eventually broke down. So ironically one of the most powerful quirk in the world can only be received by a quirkless." (Akira)
I say that but as I am now i could handle the OFA somehow thanks to my sage body. The problem is, as seen with Blackwhip, amplification of existing powers. I can handle an amplified chakra and Mangekyō Sharingan IF i am careful. But down the line if i ever get the Rinnegan, there's no way my body can take on a OFA-boosted Rinnegan in addition to the rest. I would die from that
The same applies to the AFO quirk. AFO can't just steal all the quirk he wants use them for himself. He also has a limit or his body will literally crumble down from all the power's burden. I never seen the AFO quirk personally so i can't determine how much he can handle, but from what i understand it is a lot
"Last question All Might. How long were you in possession of the OFA?"
"40 years."
That's actually a lot. He is clearly the biggest contributor to the OFA's strengthening
"I bet that yo can't teach him because you immediately mastered the quirk. This is due to the difference in OFA's power. In your case All Might the OFA was still able to grow at the same time as your body but in Izuku's case, he received the all of your 40 years of cultivation in one go. Of course his body can't handle it. However in my opinion Izuku has more potential than you."
Yes. Izuku actually possess more potential than All Might. I can feel it, his life force has more growth potential. in addition he has a talent for Martial art whereas All Might is just a brute
"Now that these points are cleared up we will begin the training our time is limited." (Akira)
"Yes!"
"i will go back. As a professor i can't show favoritism so i will leave you two until the festival starts. Young Midoriya good luck. i'm sure you will show the world the result of you training."
With these words All Might leaves the hall. I turn to Izuku
"Should we start now?"
"Yes! i will be in your care!"
'We will see if you still have that attitude after a week...'
I will make you spit your guts...
1st day

Izuku receive a punch from a shadow clone. He lost his concentration and deactivate his Full Cowl 3%. He body is not yet capable to support 5% in constant activation. Just like with Gran Torino, i jut gave him hints and he understood what to do and he understood easily. Now we are working on maintaining Full Cowl
3rd day
"Today, we will work on your technique now that you can maintain Full Cowl"
5th day
"Today, we are going to reinforce your mental strength"
Fear can be seen on Izuku's face
"What does that mean?"
i said nothing and release a thick killing intent. The green-head is paralyzed in fear his body trembling
7th day
I put my hands on the ground
'Doton: Doryū Jōheki' (Earth Style: Rampart of Flowing Soil)
Massive walls of earth emerge from the ground. Izuku is stunned by the scene
"You can manipulate earth too?!"
"Yes. Now we will work on your movements with some parkour."
Meanwhile in the meeting room of UA. the teachers and the principal make out the plans for the festival when...
Rumble...Rumble...Rumble...
"the earth is trembling?" (Midnight)
"What is happening" (Snipe)
the other professor also became alert as well. Only All Might and Nezu remain calm as if nothing is happening
"Everyone calm down there is nothing to worry about." (All Might)
"You mean that you know who did this?" (Vlad)
"Leave it as is please. As All Might said there is nothing to worry about" (Nezu)
the other professors said nothing more. if the principal says it's fine then it is...

Kuro_game I'm writing these thoughts minutes after reading the chapter 430 so what is supposed to be the end of MHA. And what to say... This end isn't bad. A good one actually but i'm not satisfied either. There is so much more potential to the universe than this...
At least i don't want it to end up like Boruto. Seriously i'm not a fan of Kaguya but that still pass... however the whole Otsutsuki clan, Nah worst idea Kishimoto ever had. And the hell with dôjutsus of unknow origin stronger than the freaking Rinnegan!
I loved Naruto and Naruto Shippuden but Boruto and the Otsutsuki thing is not for me
