Chapter 5: Chapter 5 : Hannyabal!!
"Blame for resignation?! Boom Domino? Magellan: Did he really say that?!"
In the stairwell leading from the second basement floor to the lower basement level, Hannyabal, the deputy warden of Impel Down, was leading a group of men to support the situation. He looked at the transponder snail with a mix of shock and disbelief.
"Yes, that's exactly what Magellan said. He instructed you to suppress this riot immediately!"
The transponder snail echoed Domino's serious expression.
"Alright, understood. I'll handle everything!"
Hannyabal ended the call, making grand promises, but his body unconsciously slowed down.
Even the heavily armed jailers following Hannyabal began to slow their pace, shifting from a sprint to a casual walk.
"Uh, Deputy Warden, aren't we supposed to hurry and provide assistance?"
One of the jailers, noticing Hannyabal's reluctance to quicken his pace, hesitated before speaking up.
"In situations like this, rushing only makes things worse! If we waste all our energy running, how will we deal with the prisoners when we get there?"
Hannyabal waved his hand dismissively, initially scolding the jailer with a stern demeanor, but inwardly thinking, 'Hehe, if we arrive late and the prisoners create more chaos, Magellan will be forced to resign. Then I'll become the warden!'
The jailers around him wore expressions of disbelief, feeling as if they'd been trampled by a herd of wild horses in their minds.
But despite their frustration, they had no choice but to follow Hannyabal's orders. They moved slowly towards the basement level.
On the first floor of the basement, in the Sword Forest, Buggy darted through, heading straight for the 'escape route' located at the heart of the forest!
Indeed, there was an 'escape route' in the center of the Sword Forest that allowed prisoners to escape.
As long as prisoners reached the escape route, they could evade the jailers and the venomous spiders, escaping the relentless onslaught of swords and arrows.
However, since the escape route was established, it had rarely been used by the prisoners!
It's not because the 'escape route' is so well-hidden that no one can find it. It's not because this 'escape route' is heavily guarded, making it impossible to break through the defenses!
In fact, this 'escape route' is located right in the heart of the Sword Forest, and there isn't a single guard around it, allowing anyone to pass through!
The reason so few prisoners use this 'escape route' is that it's a vertical shaft that drops straight down!
And the place this 'escape route' leads to is even more terrifying than the Crimson Hell on the first underground level or the Wild Beast Hell on the second underground level!
On the second underground level of Wild Beast Hell, it's teeming with all sorts of hellish beasts! These creatures are naturally brutal and powerful, devouring anyone who crosses their path!
On this level, the cells have become a sanctuary for prisoners! It's their only guarantee of safety! Those who escape from the Sword Forest to this level will be relentlessly pursued by these fierce beasts, as there are no cells to protect them!
For them, there's only a dead end waiting! Thus, prisoners on the second underground level would rather endure the agony of thousands of swords and arrows piercing their hearts than take the so-called 'escape route'!
In the Sword Forest, although it is painful, there's still a glimmer of hope for survival. But falling into the passage leading to the second underground level is as good as signing your own death warrant!
Of course, this is true only for those who lack strength!
For Buggy, however, this escape route is the quickest way to reach the second underground level!
Buggy figures that the stairwell connecting the first and second underground levels of Impel Down must be crowded with jailers who have come to reinforce it. If he fights his way through, he would waste valuable time and energy!
And what Buggy needs most right now is precisely time! He must create even more chaos before Magellan and the higher-ups fully grasp the seriousness of the situation!
Buggy's form flickered as he appeared next to the 'escape route'.
Staring into the bottomless darkness, Buggy leaped into the 'escape route' without hesitation! The wind howled past his ears, and it wasn't until five or six seconds later that Buggy felt a jarring shift as he fell steadily toward the ground!
Perhaps it's because time travel has enhanced Buggy's soul strength, or maybe it's due to his Devil Fruit abilities, but Buggy's senses are exceptionally sharp!
Under the influence of his determination, Buggy began training diligently, and soon he awakened one of the three types of Haki present in this world!

However, Buggy wasn't too concerned. After all, in the future, dealing with enemies would be a matter of a single punch, and whether or not he possessed Conqueror's Haki didn't seem too important.
For now, having Observation Haki and Armament Haki was more than sufficient!
After landing, Buggy slowed his pace and chose a random direction to walk forward.
He stopped when he passed by a cell.
"Hey, why are you out here?"
"Did you escape from prison?"
"Young man, can you let us out?"
The prisoners in the cell all widened their eyes in surprise at Buggy's sudden appearance, gathering at the cell door.
Buggy responded nonchalantly, "It's not impossible to let you out, but I don't have the key."
"The key is in the monitoring room over there! Please go and get it!"
"Yes, yes, the monitoring room is very close! Just go and grab it!"
"Young man, if you can let us out, we will be very grateful!"
Seeing Buggy's lack of refusal, the prisoners were filled with excitement, speaking over each other.
Buggy asked, "And where exactly is the monitoring room?"
One prisoner quickly raised his hand, pointing in a direction. "Young man, keep going along this path, turn left at the second fork, and then turn right at the first fork after a short distance. You'll find the monitoring room at the end!"
"Thank you!"
After receiving the directions, Buggy thanked them politely and quickly disappeared from view.
The prisoners were left stunned, completely baffled by Buggy's sudden departure. They rubbed their eyes, questioning whether what they had just witnessed was a mirage.
