.....

"Uh?"

Looking at the three guys running away with their arms covered, Peter felt speechless.

What did they mean by hiding iron sheets on his body? He obviously had nothing on his body, it was just that the vampire physique strengthened his body, so the three guys felt like they were hitting an iron sheet.

This situation is commonly known as no defense broken.

This farce that started off well but ended badly made some people who wanted to watch the fun very unhappy. However, all the people involved in the incident had already fled, and there was nothing to watch if they stayed any longer, so they just dispersed.

"So this is the trouble of genius? It's really boring. Gwen is not here today, otherwise at least there would be a preety girl to look at to kill time."

Peter rested his chin on one hand and twirled a pen with the other out of boredom, looking at Gwen's empty spot.

After integrating the scientific gem, Peter could understand knowledge points that he had to listen to several times before understanding them, but now he could understand them after just listening them for once, and he could even apply what he had learned to other situations.

This caused Peter to feel very bored during class and feel that time was passing very slowly.

Fortunately, Gwen arrived at school in the afternoon.

However, she did not seem to be in a good condition at this time. She looked in a bad mood and lay on the table as soon as she sat down.

Peter was very worried when he saw Gwen like this. He didn't understand why Gwen became like this after just not seeing her from the morning.

Peter came to Gwen and patted her back gently, then asked softly, "Gwen, what happened? Why do you look so listless as soon as you come back?"

Hearing Peter's voice, Gwen slowly raised her head, looking lost.

"Peter..."

"Gwen, I'm here, just tell me if you have anything!"

Gwen nodded slightly and told him what happened at the Osborne Group this morning.

"Dr. Connors called me over this morning because the project I participated in during my summer internship is about to succeed. As long as animal experiments confirm that there are no problems, human experiments can begin."

"But…but at this critical moment, the Osborne Group shut down the project on the grounds that the project had taken too much time and money and had not yet been successful.

"Dr. Connors was dismissed from the Osborne Group, and his experimental data and laboratory were forcibly taken back. Dr. Connors was ordered to pack up and leave the Osborne Group before tonight. "

After listening to Gwen's words, Peter understood why she was so frustrated. It turned out that she was unwilling to accept the fact that her achievements were about to succeed but were denied by others. If he encountered such a thing, he would definitely be the same as Gwen.

Then Peter thought of another thing, that is, Dr. Connors' experimental project was stopped and the research was about to succeed. Isn't this the prelude to Dr. Connors becoming a lizardman in the plot of The Amazing Spider-Man?

That is to say, there is a great possibility that Dr. Connors will turn into a lizard man tonight. So tonight is a good opportunity for him to show his skills and he will definitely be able to gain a lot of science points.

After all, the lowest level lottery requires 10,000 science points, which is too expensive, and Peter only has 156 science points now.

But now is not the time to think about this. The most urgent task now is to comfort Princess Gwen.

It took him half an hour to finally comfort Gwen when class was about to start. Although Gwen still looked a little listless, she was much better than at the beginning.

"Thank you, Peter. I'm much better now. Class is almost about to start. Go back to your seat."

Gwen was very happy when she saw the smile on Peter's face. It seemed that Peter, the stupid guy, had finally gotten his way and her efforts were not in vain.

But Gwen soon regretted it, because she didn't know why Peter kept staring at her during the afternoon class and didn't listen to what the teacher was saying at all.

During the class, a teacher noticed that Peter was acting strange and asked him to answer a question, but after Peter answered fluently, the teacher ignored him.

Finally, when school was over, Gwen walked to Peter's desk and slapped it with her palm.

With a slight blush on her face, she asked in a tender voice, "Peter, why have you been looking at me this whole afternoon? If you keep doing this, I will tell Aunt May that you are not paying attention in class and are absent-minded."

"No! Spare me, I won't do it again next time."

If Gwen had threatened Peter with something else, he wouldn't have cared, but when Peter heard that she was going to tell Aunt May, he immediately backed off.

Peter felt his whole body shudder when he thought about how Aunt May would lecture him if she knew.

"Humph, what are you still standing there for? Hurry up and let's go home. My mother asked me to take you home for dinner tonight."

Seeing Peter admit defeat, Gwen showed a smug smile on her face, took Peter's hand and left the classroom to go home.

After returning home, Peter told Uncle Ben and Aunt May that he was going to Gwen's house for dinner in the evening. After they agreed, Peter put down his schoolbag and went to Gwen's house.

Ding! Dong!

Peter had just rang the doorbell on the door when it opened shortly afterwards. It was Gwen's mother Helen who opened the door, and she immediately invited Peter in.

Gwen's family was sitting around the dining table, apparently just waiting for Peter to arrive so they could start eating.

Helen sat down next to George and pointed to the empty seat next to Gwen, signaling Peter to sit down quickly.

Looking at the empty seat next to Gwen, Peter suddenly felt a murderous intent. He raised his head and saw George looking at him with vicious eyes, as if he was looking at a pig that had eaten his cabbage.

Although... although he had gotten something for nothing, this made Peter more nervous than facing more than fifty men with guns last night, because this was considered meeting the parents of Gwen for her hand, right?

Peter swallowed, then sat down next to Gwen, against George's gaze.

Helen noticed the look in her husband's eyes and secretly pinched the soft flesh on his waist. What a mean husband he was. Peter was obviously a nice guy, but why did he look so fierce?

Gwen's two younger brothers smiled and greeted Peter, because during the summer vacation, Gwen went to Osborne Group for an internship, and Peter came to play with them and help them with their summer homework.

"Peter, long time no see."

"Hey guys, long time no see."

Peter looked at the two little guys and waved. He didn't do this to please his future brother-in-law's, he just liked children.

Gwen, who saw this looked at Peter with resentment and said in a faint voice: "You three have a really good relationship~"

She finally understood why the two little traitors didn't get close to her after the summer vacation. It turned out that it was Peter's doing.

"Okay, stop chatting and start eating."

At that time, Helen brought dinner out from the kitchen and placed it in front of everyone.
