Mc's pov:-
Waking up next day, and unconsciously checking my damaged knuckles but finding them already healed, made me sigh in relief, as even though i knew, i got the sage body, and my regenerative prowess should have gotten a boost, but i didn't know exactly how much, as after accepting the quest rewards i straight away went to bed to rest, without even checking my status.
I even postponed the opening of my tavern cum restaurant by another day, as i don't know why but after the spar, my head suddenly started throbbing painfully, and i started having a vertigo, i don't even know how i got in my bed, but somehow i did.
At first i thought it was due to the integration of quest rewards, but upon asking Sage about it, she denied saying my rewards were already distributed, but as my pain hadn't ended, it became clear that the reason for it was something else.
But what could it be, it clearly wasn't mana deficiency as i distinctly remember feeling my leftover mana after the spar, and i still had quite a lot left.then what could it be?.
Seeing as i won't get anywhere like this, Sage show me my status.

So a definitive increase in everything except perception and control, though the latter dropped most probably due to me having a lot of physical enhancements but since i haven't tested my powers, the control must have dropped.
My first Grandmaster level skill too, and that too in Languages, now although others may think that it just a glorified version of devil's allspeak ability, but think about what Mimir was knowledgeable about and what did Odin gained from him?, its the runes, but i can't quite utilize them yet, as i haven't gotten the whole wisdom, but mastery in ancient dialects and lost languages i will take those any day with a smile on my face.
Thunder breathing is going to be very helpful too, as i was lacking in a definitive sword style until now, this will do perfectly, though i would have loved it, had i gotten a nichirin blade too, Kusanagi won't cut it against the really strong opponents.
Sage body has also made my constitution jump directly in the upper mid class and made my magic the peak of what i could achieve with this level of physique, though i could feel my constitution still getting better and judging by seeing the + sign next to that stat, i am fairly certain that i am feeling right.
Total concentration breathing will be helpful in staying calm and alert, it is starting to feel like, i got every basic skills that system bearer gets as a starter pack. I got everything from gamer's body, gamers mind and observe, all in different forms. The only thing remaining is a cheat bloodline, and i would have a complete package, though i have not ousted the possibility of that, but i am fairly certain , that aside from a glorious past, my family don't have any special bloodline abilities.
Setting that aside for now, noticing the last entry in my skills column, seeing Hua their makes me have mixed emotions. As far as i remember, Hua was the Technique used by Sun Wukong before he died and reincarnated as Jin Mori, but the main thing is how did i unlocked that, with just 10% integration of the Template, it should be unlikely that i would unlock it now, neither do i have any monkey ancestry, aside from the obvious which is the theory of evolution.
Which makes me think about 'that'. The Blow at last, now i know it was different from others, where i was deriving my moves by copying Strada, and how do i know it?~ that's because Vasco Strada don't make errors, at least when it comes to his physical might. And for him to use Force more than what was necessary, their has to be a reason.
Now you will say that maybe the old man knowingly used that much force, considering it was a spar and he wanted to gauge my skills, but judging by what i know about the old man from the show and all, i highly doubt it, since its simply isn't in his nature.
"Hmm, i will have to test it out further to confirm this theory" getting up to do my morning chores, while putting this matter on hold until later in the day.
"Come to think of it, didn't that old man said he would come starting from today, to train me?, eh he will come, when he thinks its the right time", shrugging, i made my way towards the kitchen, to make myself some breakfast.
As i was preparing the ingredients , from the corner of my eyes i saw a golden glow appear in my doorway leading to the kitchen, and turning around i found, Vasco Strada standing in his usual High priest garbs, while giving a kind smile.
"Good morning your excellency, would you like to join me for breakfast?, i assure you, I am a competent cook". 'greeting him, while also inviting him to taste my cooking, politely of course. Now he will get addicted to my cooking eventually and if he mentioned it some high ranking member in the church they will think like, 'oh vasco strada himself is praising the food , it should be very good' and like this i will have my first regulars from the supernatural side, easy free marketing.' thinking about my bright future i almost couldn't control myself from laughing out loud.
"right, you also wanted to open a restaurant downstairs, Enlightened's Respite was it?, but aren't you worried about inviting powerful people in your home, as you live just above it?, that is assuming you want to allow supernatural beings there. Also call me teacher from now on, your excellency feels too formal don't you think?" he asked with a gentle expression on his face.
"Of course, i will allow supernatural beings there, I want to make Enlightened's Respite a place where both the mundane and the supernatural can coexist and at the same time a safe haven for supernatural beings to negotiate with others without the fear of it leading to bloodshed." "And how would you go about making something like that possible?" continuing he asked again
"With overwhelming power" i replied while looking straight into his eyes.
Locking eyes with me while pondering something for a couple of moments," Well what are you going to serve this old man, i hope nothing rubbish which children your age call food, or i will be truly disappointed" he said while taking a seat on the dining table.
"i am making apple pie, and don't worry it won't disappoint you teacher." noticing the change of topic, but playing along with it, i focused on making the best apple pies the old man would ever eat.
To prepare the crust I used the double recipe of my special Vegan Pie Crust, afterwards Chill the dough balls in the refrigerator while you prepare the apple mixture.
For Apple filling, first peel fresh apples, chop or slice them in pieces, than In a large saucepan, combine those apples, Lemon juice, Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon, Pure vanilla extract and cook over medium heat until the apples just start to soften (about 10-15 minutes). Soon the kitchen fills with a delicious sweet aroma.
Then assemble the pie by Rolling out the bottom pie crust and place it in a pan/plate. Fill it generously with the apple mixture, and now for my secret technique— Dab it with butter. Roll out the top crust and place it over the filling. Trim, seal, and flute—the edges like a well-worn quilt. Brush the crust with non-dairy milk and for the finishing touch, sprinkle it with coarse sugar.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for about 40 minutes or until golden brown and the apple mixture bubbles like a symphony of flavors. Remove the pie after confirming its crust is flaky and golden. Let it rest for 30 minutes for the filling to thicken and you have your pie ready.
Then to serve with the pie, my very own epic vegetable tacos, Stuffed with breakfast potatoes, cheesy tofu scramble, cilantro, and pickled onions.
Assembling all the food items on a serving tray and then serving it directly on the dining table. After cutting a small piece from it and placing it in front of teacher and another one for me.
Taking a seat opposite to him on the table," Try it teacher, and tell me the verdict, though don't be shy while asking for more" gesturing at the pie, i told him while giving him a confident smirk.
"hoh, don't mind if i do than" he chuckled while taking a bite from the pie.
As i watched him trying the pie, i saw his eyes widening to their edges as the flavor hits his tongue and satisfied grunt escaping from him. Satisfied with his reaction and moving to eat myself as i too was hungry. I had barely eaten a bite or two when i heard him fake coughing to get my attention.
Raising my head in his direction, i saw his plate empty and so was the plate with rest of the pie, and after looking at his face, i saw a expectant look on his face, "Do you have more?" , he asked while pointing towards his empty plate.
Barely resisting my eyes from twitching, "of course wait for a few minutes teacher", i said while getting up to make more of the pies.
After a few hours, i was making my way towards the academy on my new favourite bike, i couldn't help but shudder thinking about the last few hours, i mean no one would believe even if i told them that the violence of heaven, the limit of humanity is obsessed with Apple pie.
I mean i know obsessed is a strong word to use, but considering i had to make 15 more pies for him, i stand by it. i don't even understand how is that guy isn't in a sugar rush, or maybe he was but i couldn't tell! . The old people from my previous world would have seethed in jealousy seeing someone so old eating sweets without a care in the world, its only because supernatural people don't suffer from diabetes, otherwise just imagine Zeus with diabetes and his temper being denied eating sweets against his wishes, the chaos!!!
After walking through the academy's lobby and listening to the rumors about myself which consisted of 50% vanilla ones, 30% perverted, 10% that should be booked for harassment and assault with words and last 10% are something we don't talk about. I mean some of them were so much more darker than one joke i heard from somewhere and it was about something like if the children are called gift of gods than aren't pedophile the true appreciators of his present, that one made me stay away from internet for half a month.
The rest of the school went pretty normal, just that rias and akeno once again joined me for lunch and rest of the day was so-so, and soon i was on my way back to home, excited as it was finally time for me to open Enlightened's Respite.
Dressing up in my unifrom which i was going to wear as the only Bartender/cook for now, with black undershirt pants and a black checkered vest with silver buttons. Looking every bit of badass that i was.(image)
After making sure everything was in order and making sure the sign on the display showed open, i sat on a cushioned stool picking up a glass tumbler (for those who don't know glass tumbler is called a glass made up of glass but since saying glass glass would be odd so...) and cleaning it despite it being already clean, getting in the wise bartender's persona.
After a few minutes my first customer finally came, infact they were a group of customerss, typical corporate workers most likely coming after work, their group consisting of 2 men and 1 women. The guys were pretty average looking but the girl was definitely someone you would call pretty, with black hair, brown eyes and a curvaceous body, she has the making of that girl for whom all the other guys at work will lineup to 'promote work delegation' while doing 90% of the work themselves.
"Welcome to Enlightened's respite, how can i help you ?", greeting them, i gave them the menu, while taking out my notebook to note down their orders.
Taking their orders and getting back towards my counter to prepare them, and after a few minutes of preparing them and getting on to ready their drinks, i found that two of them, one of the guys and the girl were talking animatedly and the other one, given by his body posture was feeling left out.
Noticing that i was looking towards them, and saying something to his companions, he walked towards my counter and sat down at one of the stools at the opposite side of the counter, and ordered a whiskey on rocks separately.
Offering him the drink, and returning to making the rest of their ordered beverages, i couldn't help but ask him about his condition, since i was dying of curiosity and who knows maybe i could give him some advice which might help him.
Listening to his story, i had to try very hard to concentrate on his words and it was not because his story was boring but because a translucent screen popped up in front of my eyes

After reading the quest info, i focused on the guy's story though i already got the gist of his circumstances. The guy's name was Satoru Mikami and he was here with his two juniors who were getting married, so he was getting a party from them, you realize where this was going?
Except i wish it was that way, got you hadn't i?, but no this guy wasn't him, this guy's name was Takahasi Yuji and he was in love with the female coworker who came with him, except he doesn't have the guts to propose to her as he thinks that the female who's name was Nohara Himawari, was in love with his colleague Haruno Rei, typical office romance drama.
Giving him some consoling and advising him to just propose and get it over with, since even if she rejected, it will help him to move on faster, or if she accepts than its your win already.
After giving them their orders and returning to my workstation, i suddenly sensed someone sitting on one of the stools closest to me. Turning towards them, i saw one of the most beatiful woman i have ever saw, in fact she was the most beautiful woman i had ever seen, as even though rias and akeno could match her physical beauty it was about the aura that she had.
Something about her screamed beauty, power with a mystery surrounding her, something godly, but here she was casually drinking from one of the red wine's bottle from my stock, while giving me the most beautiful of smile that i wanted to stare at for a long time, and i would have, but what she said next quickly made me broke out of my stupor.
"You are Dahlia's kid, you are quite good"

A/N:- Sorry for the late chapter, but unfortunately it will continue as is for the week as i have to travel a lot , so really am sorry about it. though don't worry i won't drop and the chapter won't get delayed for more than 3 days.
