Chapter 8: Chapter 8 - The Inscription

Riyugi and Yana quickly arrived at the kingdom, greeted by soldiers. Riyugi helped Yana dismount from the horse.

Yana noticed the monstrous appearances of the warriors, causing her to feel intense fear and dread. When Riyugi spoke, she saw his fangs, leaving her unsure of what kind of creature he was.

A warrior handed Riyugi a rope, and he tightly bound her hands.

"What are you going to do to me? Let me go!" Yana cried out in fear.

Riyugi did not answer. After binding her hands tightly, he grabbed her arm firmly and dragged her into the palace. Yana was terrified by the monstrous faces she saw within.

"Please, let me go," Yana pleaded with Riyugi as he dragged her along.

"If you don't stay quiet, I'll kill you," Riyugi threatened.

In fear, Yana fell silent, though her heart was pounding so loudly it seemed she could hear it.

"Qrolo... please save me." Yana whispered to herself.

When they reached the throne room, Riyugi pushed Yana in front of the king, causing her to fall on the floor.

"Your Highness, she is the only human I found in your territory." Riyugi said to the king.

The king looked at Yana before speaking.

"Imprison her, and tomorrow, take a Venera and go to the depths of the ocean to ensure she reads the inscription." the king ordered.

"Yes, Your Highness." Riyugi replied, placing his right hand on his chest and bowing to show respect.

He grabbed Yana by the arm, pulling her up from the floor, and quickly led her to the cell where she would be imprisoned.

Yana was terrified and confused about what was happening around her. She was too scared to speak, fearing they might hurt her.

They descended to a dark area beneath the palace, where only lanterns on the walls provided light. In one room, there was a cell. Riyugi opened it and pushed Yana inside before locking the door. Yana grasped the bars, even with her hands bound.

"What are you going to do with me? Please don't hurt me." Yana begged.

"You'll find out tomorrow." Riyugi replied, turning away.

"Where am I? What do you want from me?" Yana cried, but Riyugi did not answer and walked away.

Yana prayed to wake up from this nightmare, thinking it was the only way to escape.

Meanwhile, an Aruha messenger arrived at the house where Qrolo was staying, delivering a letter from the elder, Derum, asking him to come to the temple.

"I have something important to attend to. I'll leave you here for now." Qrolo told Lexa and Kenro.

"Can't we come with you?" Lexa asked.

"Sorry, but that's not possible." Qrolo replied.

When Qrolo arrived at the temple, he found the elder at the entrance, looking up at the sky as if counting the stars.

"I received a message from you." Qrolo said.

"Because I have something important to tell you," Derum said.

Qrolo felt anxious, though he couldn't explain why.

"The woman who was with you when you lost consciousness from overusing your power... she is the chosen one." Derum revealed, causing Qrolo's eyes to widen in shock.

"Y-Yana? She's the chosen one?" Qrolo asked, incredulous.

"I don't know why she is the chosen one. My visions are unclear, but I am certain it's her." Derum confirmed.

"And what now? What will happen to Yana? This can't be." Qrolo said, unable to believe it.

"Whenever I close my eyes, I see her imprisoned and hear her crying. It seems she's now in the hands of the Ronoru." Derum said.

"N-no, this can't be. I have to save Yana. How did she end up there?" Qrolo asked angrily.

"I don't know, but as I told you, the portal's opening is destined. We must stop the Ronoru. For now, we need to rescue the chosen one from them." Derum said seriously.

"I will go south and find Yana." Qrolo said determinedly.

"Don't be foolish. If you go there alone, it's unlikely you'll save her. They might just kill you. The Ronoru king has Venera with unique powers. Don't underestimate them." Derum warned.

"What should I do then? Please, tell me. I'm so worried about Yana." Qrolo said desperately.

"You need companions who can match the strength of the Venera of the Ronoru king." Derum explained.

Qrolo felt even more hopeless, not knowing where to find such companions.

"We need the help of the Aruha king to find Aruha with unique and powerful abilities." Derum said.

"But that will take time. What if something bad happens to Yana? I won't forgive myself. I promised to protect her in this world," Qrolo said, worried and sad.

"There's no other way. That's the only option. Tomorrow, I'll go to the capital to speak with the king." Derum said.

"This is frustrating. There's nothing I can do," Qrolo muttered to himself in frustration.

"It's not too late. Go home for now. I'll update you tomorrow." Derum said.

Qrolo returned home feeling dejected. Outside the house, Lexa was sitting on a bamboo bench. When she saw him, she immediately approached him.

"Why do you look so sad?" Lexa asked, concerned.

"It's nothing, don't worry about me." Qrolo replied listlessly.

He had no energy to talk to anyone. He walked past Lexa and went inside the house, leaving Lexa to worry as she watched him go. She returned to her seat and looked up at the sky, filled with stars, unable to believe what was happening.

She couldn't wait to wake up and tell Yana everything, but she couldn't understand why she was feeling sleepy. She wondered why she was getting sleepy in a dream. Unable to resist the drowsiness, she lay down on the bamboo bench and fell asleep.

Qrolo told Kenro about the elder's words, and Kenro felt great fear for what might happen.

Qrolo decided to travel south to the Ronoru territory to rescue Yana from their hands. Kenro tried to stop him, but Qrolo was determined and could not wait any longer.

Kenro decided to go with him, but Qrolo refused, not wanting Lexa to be left alone.

"Why is she sleeping? She's here in the dream world, so why is she falling asleep?" Kenro asked Qrolo, confused. Qrolo also found it strange but didn't know the reason.

"I don't know, but since she's still here in our world, stay with her." Qrolo instructed.

Kenro reluctantly agreed. With a wave of his hand, Qrolo quickly reached the southern part of the dream world.

He wore a cape and hood to avoid being noticed by the Ronoru. Qrolo didn't know the exact location of the Ronoru kingdom, so he had to travel and ask directions from the Ronoru people.

Meanwhile, Yana noticed her body gradually disappearing, a sign that she was waking up in the real world. She felt hopeful.

Moments later, she woke up fully and saw the surroundings of her room. She felt intense pain in her wrists, and when she looked, she saw marks and wounds from the ropes.

"I have wounds here even after waking up." Yana said to herself, shocked.

She entered school as if nothing happened, trying to live normally like before, pretending to be an ordinary student despite everything being complicated. He had no enthusiasm for studying; She just forced herself to. But she couldn't really focus, until she got home feeling sleepy. She tried to fight off the drowsiness but was overcome by intense sleep until she fell asleep again.

And she found herself again inside the cell.

"Damn it, why am I back here?" Yana muttered in frustration and fear. This was the first time her dream continued after waking up.

In the past, whenever she woke up and went back to sleep, she found herself in a different place and scene in her dream. But now, her dream continued, and she was back in the cell, bound.

Moments later, Riyugi arrived and opened the cell, grabbing Yana's arm and pulling her out.

"Where are you taking me?" Yana asked, terrified.

"Don't ask questions. Just follow if you don't want to get hurt." Riyugi replied authoritatively.

They exited the palace, where ten Venera awaited. Riyugi approached them while still holding Yana's arm.

"Banki, you're coming with us." Riyugi said seriously.

Banki bowed to Riyugi as a sign of respect. Riyugi removed the ropes from Yana's wrists.

"Ouch!" Yana couldn't help but cry out in pain as Riyugi gripped her wounded wrists tightly while removing the ropes.

But Riyugi ignored it. After he removed the rope, he just threw it aside. Then he lifted Yana up onto the horse.

Riyugi, Banki, and Yana wasted no time. They rode their horses again, with Yana behind Riyugi, while Banki rode the other horse.

They immediately left the kingdom. Yana, despite having many questions, remained silent out of fear that they might hurt her.

Meanwhile, Qrolo created a monster-like mask and wore it to avoid being suspected as an Aruha.

He needed to talk and interact with the Ronoru citizens as he asked for directions to the Ronoru kingdom.

The old man Derum had arrived at the capital to meet with the King of the Aruha.
