Chapter 266: 266. A laughing knife

Lance stepped out of the car, checked his weapons, and took a detour to the villa in which most probably a creator resided. 

He found himself in front of a wall covered with ivy. He climbed up and jumped down quietly. Looking around, there were thick trees, and the air felt humid. Taking the special gun into his hand, he sneaked closer to the dark building.

It was an old villa, as what he had seen from the pictures online, but there were more than a dozen rosebushes, as well as roses, ranked on the walls of the building; these should be new. It looked enchantingly beautiful.

There were no guards inside, which indicated that this was most likely a trap for him to step into. However, there was no turning back, so he took down the few steps on the side of the building, leading to a cellar door. It was open.
