Inside the car, the driver ignored being followed, as he instantly recognized the car as that of Master and Madam.

Lance looked at Paige, who started to get really nervous, and tried to distract her with an essential question,

"Paige.... why are my mom and you so close now?" Don't get him wrong; he just wanted to reduce her nervousness; the tingle of jealously was just the imagination of whoever heard it.

"Hmm? We were close the whole time already, weren't we?" Paige met Lance's eyes in puzzlement.

"No... you are clinging to her." Lance stated, when he noticed that it sounded like a reprimand, he wanted to clarify immediately, only for her to interrupt before he could.

"Whaaaaat?" Paige asked unnaturally, her eyes darting around. After a moment of silence, she asked,

"Is it that obvious?"

Lance chuckled at her reaction.

"Yeah."
