Having gotten rid of the annoying person, Lance made his way to the intercom beside the entrance.
Pressing the button with the door number Eno had sent him, he waited, but nobody answered.
Lance closed his eyes. He felt so vexed about being here; this whole day was full of shit.
He pressed the button again a few times, and when there was still no reaction, he pushed it down constantly.
Finally, there was someone picking up, but not speaking.
Lance sighed again,
"Here is Lance." A sound signaling the door opening was heard instantly.
Lance furrowed his brows and entered the old building. When he pressed the elevator button, he heard the door opening with a creak and wondered if he should take the stairs instead.
Shaking his head, he resolved to risk his life rather than going nine stories up.
