Paige was still petting the cat when the system informed her.

She was stunned and looked at Meier; now it was clear why he was the way he was.

"Why don't you have siblings besides Natasha?"

Meier was still eying the cat in annoyance and said casually,

"She had me late because of this."

"Mhmm, is your Mum cool?"

"Why are you asking this?" He was observing her face.

"Cause my Mum is never at home, I have no idea how one behaves."

"My mother is always by my side." He said, his tone not fluctuating at all. It was hard to tell if he liked it or hated it.

"That's nice," Paige thought. Then where is she now? Sightseeing, shopping, murdering people?

Silence settled again, and suddenly, the cat was taken from her lap.

Meier had the cat in a death grip while staring at Paige.

Paige was shocked, but it didn't show on her face.

"Pfft." Paige sniggered in mocking.
