Chapter 16: Power Up!!
Heizen was an orphan in his past life. So, he especially cared about his few connections and friends.
'He believes people can find their home wherever they have friends or loved ones. No need to fix someplace specific as a home where nobody even remembers you. It just takes one caring person to make you feel safe and attached.'
So, this identity was the beginning of his attachment to this world. He hoped that one day, he would have tons of friends who were eager to see him.
After distributing the identity to everyone, the senior took them to their dormitory. The dormitory was located on the right wing of the main building.
After assigning them their room number with another crystal, he introduced them.
"This is the dormitory of our Academy. You can access your room with that identity card. Just follow the instructions along the way.
Male and female dormitories are on opposite sides. You can easily find them.
Also, there are some books and maps placed in your room. Read it carefully and explore the place yourself. Just don't violate the rules and you are good."
After instructing them, Senior hurriedly left. He seems to be very busy.
Heizen also followed the instructions on the wall and found his room after walking through the corridor. His room number was 401.
He placed his identity card at the small groove in the door handle. Suddenly, the door opened automatically while some kind of restriction seems to have lifted.
Heizen found that he was very sensitive to magic fluctuations.
After entering the room, he closed the door and looked at his room. Well, except for a bed and solitary chair at the window, there is nothing to speak of. At least, the room was bigger than that of Midnight Tavern.

The talent seemed very necessary but there were ways to circumvent it. Especially, since the advent of the fallen realm, many such people have arisen.
For example, Wizard. While Mages used their power with the help of their affinity with nature, Wizard forcefully seized them.
They were a mad bunch who indulged in their research all year round.
Sorcerer, Warlock, and Summoner in turn required the support of a powerful entity. Such an entity can be a God, Spirit, or any higher life form.
Moreover, leveling up was also very different for different professions. While Mage and Wizard could increase their power via Beast or Mana crystals, others may use divinity, belief, their summons, contract, etc., to power up.
Heizen was dazzled by such information. But he was also excited since he knew he could follow every one of them if he wanted. Well, he only needed to be more careful.
He was saying this because he found the information about Moonflower in the book.
According to the book, you could use various natural treasures or beast material to increase your talent and power. Of which, soul-related treasures were the most precious.
A strong soul laid the foundation for a Necromancer, Summoner, and Sorcerer. And the example given by the book was exactly Moonflower.
He hurriedly took out the Moonflower and a beast core from his ring. This beast's core was the one he had found in the Forbidden Forest before.
He was anxious because according to the book, the Moonflower would degrade if not stored properly. So, it was better to take it directly if you had no option.
When he took the flower out, he noticed that the light was slightly dimmer than before. All the hassle from the past few days caused him to pay no attention to it.
So, he quickly sat on the bed and started to breathe rhythmically. The breathing method was recorded on the front page of the book which would help you absorb the Beast or Mana Crystal.
He placed the worn-out tier 1 beast crystal in his right hand and began to absorb it inside his body.
Beast crystals were the aggregate power of the monster who had at least reached Tier 1 in rank. That was equivalent to an Official Mage or Wizard in human society.
Humans also had their own power crystal in their sea of consciousness. Mage called them Elemental rings while the Wizard called them Mana circles.
Such crystals possessed immense power. So, Heizen was first going to absorb it before eating Moonflower which could increase his soul strength.
Heizen felt a steady stream of energy being absorbed inside his body from the beast crystal. The process was slower as it was of earth attribute.

After absorbing the whole crystal, Heizen was already level 10. He was very excited.
This was the first time he tasted the power of the System. Well, the Life Seal won't count since he died soon after.
He now had twenty-five free attribute points. He could now plan his future relaxedly.
His strength, stamina, and mainly mental power, all needed improvement.
He had already noticed that all the stats were very important to him. Their value lies in their skills and abilities. For example, stamina and agility are interrelated.
So, he needed to be more careful while allocating the attributes.
Leaving those things, for now, he picked the Moonflower in his hand.
Now that he had become stronger, he was eligible to eat this treasure.
Heizen twisted the roots off of the plant and swallowed the whole in one bite. Although it was uncomfortable, instructions from the book were clear.
After swallowing the plant, he felt a hot current passed through his whole body. It was as if someone was hugging him in a warm embrace.
Just when Heizen was feeling comfortable, a sharp pain came from the depth of his soul. He was instantly suffocated and started to twitch in his bed.
Unbearable pain. It was only slightly lower than when he was burned alive. However, this time it was longer than before.
Within a moment, his eyes became heavy and he couldn't even scream. Amid the twitching and suffocation, he fainted on his bed, unconscious.
