[Forbidden Dark Forest-Ravenwood Town]
Heizen woke up early and got refreshed. After resting for a whole night, his spirit had improved.
However, he severely lacked information about this world. So, he had lots of things to do today.
He quickly climbed down the wooden stairs and came to the tavern hall. There was a lot of activity going on with the unique aroma floating in the air.
But Heizen didn't see any other race than human. He was kinda disappointed?
"What do you have for breakfast?" Heizen asked at the front desk to the maid.
"Sir, we have mushroom soup with eggs and slices of bread. You can also replace mushrooms with milk if you want." She replied.
"Ok, give me mushroom soup with two eggs and slices of bread," Heizen said and went to sit on a chair.
Except for the medieval atmosphere and strange customs, he didn't see much difference between people here and his old world.
After waiting for a while and eating, he went outside. He asked for directions to the Adventurer guild from the passerby.
The Adventurer guild was on the east side of the town. It was a majestic palace-style building with thick pillars and murals.
There are all kinds of engraving from humans, dwarfs, elves, dragons, to many others that he couldn't understand.
Many people were going in and out of the building. Some people were alone while others were on the team doing their own business.
Heizen quickly came to the huge notice board at the front of the hall.
Since Bernard had already promised to give him an identity, he would first gather information from such notices.
The notice board was filled with all kinds of info and missions. Weirdly, Heizen didn't have any problem reading such strange words.
There were many missions with good rewards. From subjugating the Goblin hoard to exploring the dangerous fallen realm, anything was available.
Seeing that there wasn't much to learn, he went to the shop on the right side.
"Boss, do you have any book for beginner adventurers?" Heizen asked the middle-aged man at the shop.
The middle-aged man picked up a book from the pile and placed it in front of him.
"Ten silver coins." He said without paying attention.
Heizen quickly counted ten silvers from the pouch, gave him, and picked the book.
He sat on a chair at the side and began to read the book which was made of leather with rough textures.
There were introductions to many monsters with simple pictures, information about the fallen realm, and a simple map of the wilderness outside.
There was also information about useful facilities and shops around the Adventurer guild.
Heizen was reading everything with gusto.
Especially, when he read the info about the fallen realm, he understood what happened to him.
Apparently, he was transported to a fallen realm through the space channel which the System called "Dungeon."
However, according to the handbook, fallen realms were mostly very dangerous. They were once part of a world in this universe.
But due to various reasons, they drifted into the void and collided with this world "Gaia."
So, you wouldn't know how powerful the races within without exploring.
Despite the risk, many adventurers loved to explore such realms because of the abundant rewards.
The resources within so numerous, that even the powerful and rich person would salivate.
Another key point he noticed was that every person would require specific ingredients to awaken their profession. They also needed massive resources to increase their tier.
So, hunting monsters wasn't only for leveling up. In fact, the level of a person had the least significance among other things.
While Heizen was reading the handbook carefully, someone tapped his shoulder.
"Hey, you are here early," Bernard said while waving his hand. There was Bowen with his bow at the back.
"Did you buy this handbook from that shop? You must have been scammed. That boss is very stingy." He laughed.
"Yeah, ten silver coins," Heizen said while greeting them.
"Told you, haha." Bernard laughed and continued.
"Let's go and register first to get you an identity. It will be much easier to walk around after that." He said and walked to the front.
Getting an identity card wasn't that complicated, especially when you have someone to vouch for. Heizen got a simple metal carved with a unique symbol and his name.
After completing the procedure, they came outside of the building.
"So, what are your plans? You can join the Seeker Adventurer team if you want. It is a relatively open group and you will get many connections and benefits." Bernard purposed.
He had seen Heizen fight before. So, he was eager to add a new member to their team.
"I will first level up, earn some money, and make a decision afterward," Heizen replied.
He would first get used to the environment here before making any decision.
"Why don't you follow us then? We are also leveling up. Bernard is a level 7 warrior, so you don't need to worry about your safety."
Sarah came from behind and interjected. Both girls were in the blue robe looking beautiful as always.
"Oh! I forgot to check the status of Bernard" Heizen thought.
"Haha, I am no warrior yet. Without awakening the life seed, everything is in vain. But I can still protect you, beginners, haha," Bernard laughed.
"However, I am no match for level ten Cyclopes, though." He said awkwardly. He was still feeling guilty about yesterday.
"But, aren't you doing commission? I have no money to give you." Heizen joked.
"Oh, what happened to my sponsor from yesterday? Hah, you wasted all of them on booze, didn't you?"
Sarah said while acting exaggeratedly. Seeing her big eyes and cute acting almost made Heizen lose his composure.
"Damn! I must increase my mental stats next time. This overwhelming charm will kill me." Heizen thought while rolling his eyes at the girls.
"Hehehe," both girls were giggling and enjoying their jokes.
"Haha, you don't need to worry about money. Hum, why don't you take this commission as your entrance test for our Seeker Adventurer team?" Bernard said seriously.
"Ok." Heizen also agreed readily.
"Ok, this time, we will go to the west side of the forest. I got info about the small wolf pack that is just enough for our team."
Bernard said.
"Wait, first buy some equipment and weapon for him. He has nothing." Just then, a stern sound came from behind.
Bowen pointed at Heizen and called him out.
Heizen was speechless. He was thinking why this person was silent.
Speaking of which, he really had nothing now except for one remaining tusk.
Seeing his embarrassed look, everyone laughed and went towards the trading zone.
