The moment Heizen jumped into the space crack, everything went dark. He felt as if he was being stretched and pulled in all directions, completely beyond his control. Fortunately, it did not last long.
Suddenly, he was thrown out of the vortex into a desolate land with only bones and rotting woods. Due to the uneven landing, he tumbled onto the ground and rolled over the withered grass.
"Cough, cough!" Heizen coughed irregularly, feeling nauseated.
"Shh," Heizen hissed and took a sharp breath as his right arm began to hurt like hell. When fighting the wolf, he used too much force and broke his bones.
After reeling in pain for a while, he finally calmed down. Using his left arm, he tremblingly untied the makeshift bed sheet from his shoulder, pulled out a piece of fabric, and securely wrapped it around his broken arm.
Once he felt he could move, he grabbed a water bottle and gulped it down as if he had been stranded in the desert for a month. He felt extremely fortunate to have crafted a water bottle out of bamboo, intending to store fresh water for his journey with the Merchant caravan.
After getting refreshed with cool water, he felt the pain in his right arm subside slightly. So he focused his attention on the barren and desolate surroundings.
"Lifeless," he thought., "a stark contrast to the world behind."
However, now there was a problem. The space vortex from which he came was already closing, giving him no chance of returning; not that he would dare to go back through it.
"Well, let's not be pessimistic," he murmured to himself, trying to forcefully calm down his mood.
One thing was certain: he had transmigrated to a supernatural world. No matter how you looked at it, that fog and wolf weren't normal.
"If only I could gain such powers," Heizen thought with hope, with the strong belief that it could help him to find the purpose of his life, or maybe, even a way to return to his broken world.
Putting random thoughts aside, he quickly picked up his belongings, tied them to his back with the bed sheet, and looked east.
This was because only that side had some silhouette of a building and forest, giving him a glimmer of hope in this desolate place.
Looking at the shadow of the building, Heizen murmured "Let's hope there are some people." He was in desperate need of assistance.
He walked quickly to the east, holding the knife in his left hand. He must be aware of his surroundings, as the wolf may have come from this world.
Fortunately, he did not face any danger during his journey. After an hour, he arrived at the desolate ruin in the middle of a forest.
Despite the long journey, the world remained dim and the sky was obscured, as if time had stopped in this realm.
The ruin in front was enormous as its grandeur was evident in the shape and thick pillar soaring through the sky. Even the gate was so large that it resembled a palace.
Fortunately, the door was already in ruins, otherwise, Heizen would have had a hard time opening it. Despite this, the dragon murals on the door and pillar were a sight to look at.
He marveled at the ancient structure for a moment before stepping onto the cobbled stone path.
Just then, a rustling sound came from the bush to his left, making him freeze in his position.
He quickly stopped and braced himself, while pointing his knife at the source of sound.
"Squeak," a rancid odor filled the air, accompanied by the sound of a rat emerging from the bush.
Suddenly, a two-foot-tall black rat stared at him with its red eyes and roared at him with madness.
"Damn!" Heizen cursed. "Why is everything so exaggerated here?"
Looking at its long nails and teeth, he would be punctured if he wasn't careful. However, he was not going to be passive this time. He had had enough of this shit.
Heizen quickly tightly held the knife and made an attacking motion. The rat demon got enraged by his movement and ran towards him to attack with a vicious screech.
He focused his attention on the rat's movement with utmost concentration. As he saw a sharp claw in his vision, he dodged to the right, narrowly dodging its attack.
Once out of danger, he plunged his knife into its belly and stabbed it through. At this point, he applied everything he had learned in fighting class in the past.
"Squeak, squeak!" The Demon rat cried out in pain and attacked even more violently in rage.
Since Heizen was using his left hand, it was quite exhausting to fight. However, after five minutes with multiple stabs, the demon rat finally died.
"Thank god, it was weaker than the previous wolf demon."
Heizen was breathing heavily. Stamina wasn't his forte. "Hah, hah, Damn it!" he was exhausted this time.
Just then, he saw a barely perceptible blue aura float out from the rat demon. It seems to be just floating there.
When he came closer out of curiosity, the blue aura quickly entered his body without giving him a chance to react.
Before he panicked, a colorful light swirled in his mind and absorbed the blue aura accurately. Then he heard a series of robotic sounds in his mind.
[Ding!][Origin power detected. Trying to make a connection with the terminal.]
Colorful light in his mind quickly dimmed and changed to the white mass floating and rotating in his mind.
[Ding! Failed. Unable to detect the network.]

Heizen looked at the status panel that suddenly appeared in his vision. He was bewildered and didn't know whether to be happy or sad. He was pitifully weak.
While he was digesting the torrent of information, the light mass in his mind started to rotate again.
[Ding! Starting the Dungeon calibration. Function not available.]
[Ding! recalibrating the system. Low energy. Unable to find the solution.]
[Ding! The system has been optimized. Unusable function deleted. Renaming the system based on the remaining energy.]
[Ding! Congratulation! "Good Luck System" is at your service.]
What the heck? Heizen looked at the drama going on in his mind. Weirdly, his mind could easily digest the information quickly.
He was sure the colorful light that appeared at the beginning was the thing that killed him before. However, he thought that was a space crack.
He quickly collected his mind and sorted out his thoughts. It was confirmed that this place was a dungeon and he seemed to have a player-like status.
However, looking at the desolate and barren area, it didn't seem to have anything to do with "Life Gate".
Furthermore, that blue aura he saw after killing the demon rat must be the experience pack.
However, he didn't understand why his system acted weirdly. It appeared to be incomplete.
"Whatever the case, Goodluck System is still the best gold finger, right?"
"Haha," Heizen laughed, feeling very happy. With good luck, he could gain more with less risk.
After reminiscing about the system, he looked at the rat's corpse on the ground. However, he only saw black viscous liquid with a rancid smell instead.
Quickly distancing himself from the corpse, he walked towards the front door of the palace. Though there was mud and moss everywhere, you could still see beautiful designs on the door.
After Heizen pushed it with his hand, "Creak, creak," the door opened slowly. The door had not been used for quite some time.
"Squeak, squeak.." once the door was opened, the rustling sound of the rat demon became particularly conspicuous.
Heizen quickly became alert and slowly walked into the dim corridor. Though there was no light, it was still possible to see a few meters.
When the sound became clearer, he saw a rat demon in a dilapidated corner. So, he adjusted his knife and slowly came behind it.
Without wasting time, he swung the knife at the neck and accurately chopped off the head at a weird angle.
"Squeak." With the last shrill sound, the rat fell to the ground. Its corpse began to dissolve into black liquid.
A blue aura rose from its body which quickly drilled his mind. The white light that was in his mind captured the light and rotated anti-clockwise.
[Ding! Origin power detected. Experience increased by 20%]
Then the white light returned to silence as before.
"Hum, so, not all rat demons are of the same strength. It was weaker."
Heizen thought and began to explore the corridor. His plan right now was to level up and see if he could add attributes, like in the game.
The space vortex was closed and he didn't have the power to run rampant here. He must increase his strength as soon as possible.
So, he applied the same trick and continued to explore ahead. He was lucky that the rat demons weren't sensitive to smell.
Hence, he killed 3 extra lone rat demons and gained an additional 44% experience. He was at 96% and only needed 4% more to level up.
Maybe because of the environment, he didn't see any other rat demons along the way.
After half an hour, the corridor opened into a large hall. There was no furnishing and it looked deserted.
Heizen came to the end of the hall and saw three large doors at the end.
Just then, a cold robotic sound appeared in his mind.
[Ding!][Good Luck favors you. Choose the middle door to get a rejuvenation potion.]
Heizen waited for a while but heard nothing else. He was confused but still went near the middle door.
After all, he knew nothing about what lies behind the other two. Let's choose the one that was already known.
Thinking like this, he touched the door to push it open.
As soon as he touched the door, a green light enveloped the dragon-like mural on the door.
"Creak," the door opened automatically, and the ancient smell with a little bit of life wafted through his nose.
This was the first working mechanism he had encountered in this dungeon.
Though he was nervous, he still went inside. However, after he entered, with a bang, the door automatically closed behind him.
