Chapter 3: Chapter 3[Edit]

The Potions classroom in the Hogwarts basement evoked mixed feelings in many students, but for Nero, it was almost a sanctuary. This dark, damp room, filled with old books and ingredients emitting mysterious scents, was almost an aphrodisiac for him. Even now, having experienced two lives, the feeling of relaxation was intoxicating.

Seated at his desk, Nero envisioned his future workshop, his headquarters. He imagined utilizing not only his skills but also the enhanced abilities granted by his special power.

The room was lit with a faint, greenish glow emanating from numerous vials and measuring cups filled with various substances, creating a unique atmosphere. The stone walls, covered with ancient moss, seemed to whisper ancient spells, and every step on the cold, stone floor echoed, heightening the tension and expectation in the air.

In the center of the room stood sturdy wooden tables, bearing cauldrons of various sizes and shapes. Here, under the watchful and strict eye of Professor Snape, Hogwarts students honed their skills in potion brewing. Despite his arrogance and self-confidence, Nero held great respect for Snape. He secretly admired Snape's mastery and precision, though he would never admit it openly. Nero understood that potions were not mere ingredient mixing but a true art demanding intelligence and knowledge.

The collection of ingredients was a veritable treasure trove. From common plants and herbs to rare, exotic substances that could astonish even the most seasoned alchemists, each bottle and pouch concealed immense potential—potential Nero was eager to fully exploit. Especially now, with knowledge expanded across other worlds, as he had discovered. Despite their differences from his original reality, these worlds were undeniably real. Even the most bizarre realms existed somewhere.

As the doors to the classroom creaked open and Professor Snape stepped inside, Nero sensed the familiar tension on the faces of both Slytherin and Ravenclaw students. Snape, his black cloak billowing behind him like a shadow, exuded authority and strength. Nero sucked in a breath, feeling his heart beat faster. The sight of fear in the students' eyes at the mere sight of the infamous teacher filled him with awe and envy. Even now, Nero imagined himself in the future, inspiring even greater fear and respect.

He knew the upcoming lesson would be exciting, especially since he had a trump card up his sleeve that would open entirely new possibilities for him.

Snape moved between the tables with his characteristic grace, casting short, penetrating glances at his students' watchful eyes. Every softly spoken word had the power to send shivers down their spines. Nero focused, eager to observe the reactions of the other students, although he felt a slight pressure when Snape briefly glanced in his direction.

"Today we will be dealing with one of the more complex potions, the use of which goes beyond the usual everyday needs of a wizard. We will be brewing a skin-strengthening potion, also known as the 'Iron Skin Potion'.

"This potion, when consumed, greatly increases the skin's resistance to all types of damage—from cuts to deep wounds. However, it does not make the user indestructible, as some fools may have guessed."

Snape's gaze briefly fixed on a Ravenclaw student who was speaking too loudly about comparing himself to someone named "Cage" during his vacation in America. The name was familiar to Nero, but he pushed aside any thoughts of memories for the moment.

"The importance of this elixir is especially appreciated by wizards working in dangerous conditions, such as mining elemental stones in mines. You will learn about elemental stones in another lesson. For now, it should suffice to know that they are extremely valuable and powerful, but their extraction is equally risky."

"Wizards who choose such perilous work must be prepared for all threats. Thanks to the 'Iron Skin Elixir,' their bodies can endure more, allowing them to survive in harsh conditions where any mistake can be fatal. However, this elixir is not permanent, and its properties only protect against superficial wounds. If someone is unfortunate enough to be crushed by rocks, their internal organs will still be vulnerable."

"This potion, while not overly complex to brew, requires precision and understanding of each ingredient. Any mistake, no matter how small, can render the potion ineffective or even hazardous. Therefore, your concentration and precision will be crucial during today's lesson. I will not tolerate any talking during the practical part."

"Consider this an opportunity not only to learn, but also to contemplate how magic can be used not just for combat or defense, but also to enable everyday tasks that would be impossible for Muggles. After all, a wizard's true power lies not only in their wand, but also in their mind—the ability to anticipate and prepare for any circumstance."

"Now, approach your cauldrons and remember—precision is paramount. Each ingredient must be added at the right time and in the correct amount. Begin with powdered dragon horn, the foundation of our potion. Observe the reactions, mix carefully, and ensure every action is precise. You have 30 minutes. Let's begin."

Snape concluded his speech, and the students set to work with a mix of awe and apprehension.

While most students immediately began grinding the dragon's horn, Nero opted to activate the system panel first and carefully initiate the initial steps required to create the elixir. He waited patiently until a new column appeared on the panel floating before his eyes, which he swiftly advanced to the maximum level after a moment.

The sensation of maximizing his skills caused Nero's head to almost explode with pain for literally two seconds, before the most relaxing feeling he had ever experienced washed over him. It was a transition from one extreme to another, but now Nero's mind was filled with knowledge comparable to that of a Master of Potions imprisoned in the Mystical Library of Potion Creation for a billion years, all under the influence of the "Mystical Elixir of Odin's Wisdom."

This time, Nero truly understood the absurd power he had just acquired, and the sinister smile on his face frightened most of the students who even glanced his way.

"Hehe... At this rate, I'll become a god."

With a smile on his face, Nero began creating the "True" Iron Skin Elixir.

Nero was in Professor Snape's blind spot, granting him the freedom he craved. His station was secluded, almost hidden in the semidarkness of the potions classroom, with only slivers of greenish light reaching his cauldron. Snape moved between the tables, observing the students sternly, but Nero could focus on his work without interruption.

Having mastered the secrets of potion-making to the level of a Potions God, Nero approached the process with confidence bordering on arrogance. His movements were fluid, precise, almost mechanical. A diabolical laugh escaped his lips sporadically, accompanied by an arrogant smile reflecting his inner euphoria. He felt like a deity, in control of every aspect of his work, with the conviction that no other wizard could match his skills.

First, he retrieved powdered dragon horn, the base ingredient of the Iron Skin Elixir, and added it to the cauldron. He observed as the powder descended onto the liquid's surface, sparking and tinting it with a deep, steel-gray hue. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction at the reaction, as if it were the most beautiful sight in the world.

Next, he added essence of mandrake bark, a potent strengthener essential to the potion's power, despite not being in the original recipe. Nero measured a precise amount and swirled the cauldron counterclockwise, watching the potion thicken and shimmer with satisfaction.

Then, with absolute precision, he introduced troll blood, enhancing the potion's final strength. As the liquid merged, it bubbled and hissed softly, signaling its potency. Nero felt a rush of euphoria, reinforcing his sense of power and control.

Once the potion achieved the perfect consistency and color, Nero knew his work was complete. His arrogant smile widened as he admired the finished potion. It was flawless, just like everything he touched. He was certain his skills surpassed even the most talented alchemists.

As Snape approached his table, Nero composed himself, adopting a demeanor of intense concentration and innocence. Snape glanced at Nero's cauldron and froze.

Fully convinced of his superiority, Nero waited for the professor to speak, knowing that no one in the room, not even Snape himself, could match his mastery of potion-making.

For a moment, Severus Snape couldn't believe what he was seeing. The Ironskin Potion before him was flawless—perfectly thick, with a steel-gray hue and a subtle sheen that hinted at its incredible power. Private spells cast by him had revealed an abundance of information, heightening his already intense emotions.

Snape, usually composed and emotionless, this time couldn't hide his shock and disbelief. He stood still for a few seconds, studying the potion, before speaking.

"This... this is impossible," he murmured quietly, his voice trembling slightly—an unusual occurrence. "Mr. Blackheard, this potion... is absolutely perfect."

Snape scrutinized Nero's face, searching for any sign of deception, but found only an arrogant, devilish smile on the boy's lips.

"How did you do it?" Snape asked, his tone shifting from shock to disbelief. "No student should be able to achieve such perfection. This is master-level... no, this is a level that even masters rarely attain."

The sudden display of emotion unsettled many of the weaker students, who now felt a mix of fear and curiosity. Some Slytherin students near Nero even thought their professor might attack him.

Snape took a deep breath, attempting to collect himself. "You understand what this means, don't you? This level of skill... it's more than talent. It's something that hasn't been seen at this school for centuries."

Moving closer, Snape leaned over the cauldron to inspect the potion more closely. His eyes shone with a blend of admiration and concern. "If you can replicate this achievement, Nero, you could revolutionize alchemy."

Nero's smile widened, relishing every moment of praise from one of Hogwarts' most difficult-to-please professors. Deep down, he knew this was just the beginning of his journey to greatness.

"I must verify it... yes... that would be best."

Snape seemed to fall into an almost uncontrollable frenzy. Without hesitation, he grabbed a ladle near the cauldron, disregarding the potion's high temperature. He dipped the ladle into the boiling liquid and drank it immediately, ignoring the burns on his skin.

This sight terrified all the students, except Nero, who oddly shared the professor's frenzied state.

After drinking the potion, bright green energy began to radiate from all the veins on Professor Snape's body for a brief moment. The glow then spread across his entire skin. Casting more spells on himself, Snape grinned terrifyingly at the equally smiling student.

"Perfection... Blackheard... follow me."

After a moment, the two madmen moved to the front of the classroom. To the horror of all the other students, Professor Snape pulled a two-handed Claymore from a cabinet behind his desk, a weapon he used for enchantment experiments.

"Strike me... with all your might, when I give the signal."

Snape then cast his own spell, developed as a countermeasure to the antics of Potter and his friends—the Iron Bones Charm, which magically strengthened his bones. He had used it when Potter had tried to hex him into falling.

"As you wish, Professor."

At this point, it no longer mattered that their actions were highly inappropriate for a school setting. Both were now in a fanatical state, though each in their own unique way. However, both were undeniably unhinged in the moment.

When the Claymore struck Snape's exposed neck, many students feared their unpopular professor would perish. What followed, however, deeply shocked them. The sword shattered into pieces—a formidable steel blade capable of cleaving not only a man but even a dragon. Snape briefly explained it was an experimental oil that had strengthened the blade in a previous lesson.

Moments later, the hall echoed with two insane laughs, evoking both fear and awe among the students. Even those from Muggle families, who had been at Hogwarts for just over two months, now understood the magnitude of what they were witnessing.

As you liked the chapter, I tried to show a bit more of the classes at Hogwarts. Although I got a bit carried away at the end. I'm waiting for your opinions and suggestions for the next chapters.
