Chapter 25: Growing Spirit Tree and Completed Flagship

When Constantine arrived at his workshop the first thing he saw was Satella's tree. When he left, the tree had only been a few feet tall, but now the entire tree was over 30 feet tall(9 meters) it was a massive increase in just a night, but since he had evolved the tree and he was watering it with Liquid Mana this was expected.

He walked toward the tree with curiosity and waited.

"Hey, Satella you in there?"

He stepped back as from the tree the Nymph popped out. When he last saw her, she had been a small 4'1 since she was a young Nymph from a young Oak Tree. Now, with the evolution of her tree from a regular Oak Tree into a Evernight Oak Tree, and a whole night of being watered with Liquid Mana she had grown up.

Now, she was 5'9, and her hair was still split down the middle, with the right side being a bright purple, but the left was platinum white just like Emelia and Satella. Her small pointed ears and the dark dress now suited her and so did the hefty breasts.

"Look at you kid, you look great. How do you feel?"

Satella ran a hand through her hair before looking at her chest.

"I feel great, but why did these grow so big?"

He shrugged.

"Proper nutrition? How am I supposed to know? Anyway, how do you feel magically or spiritually? What do you think you can do now?"

She turned around to look at the giant tree covered in steel-like black bark with a massive crown of purple leaves. From the tree, a purple aura that reminded him of Vritra and himself continued to radiate with dense Divine Energy since he had used his blood in its evolution.

"I can control all the trees in a vast area, not sure if I can control all of them in your property, but far. If I am not mistaken, I can do this."

She waved her hands and dark black flames erupted all over her body and the body of the tree. Plants and fire didn't normally mix, but the Tree was now fireproof and it could control powerful cursed pyrokinetic abillities.

She snuffed out the fire, before she thought about it and massive spiked roots emerged from the ground before they shifted into wooden Dragon heads. They snapped and bit before they crawled over to him so he started petting them.

"Are they sentient?"

Satella nodded.

"They are, they are connected to my tree and they can defend it from harm. That is not even talking about the squirrels and birds."

She pointed up into the trees where several squirrels were grabbing purple acorns and eating them. He watched as one ate one of the nuts before it started growing larger with a small horn growing from its head.

Its eyes turned slit-like, it grew sharper claws and it's fur turned black. He saw some birds eating the magical Acorns and evolving and mutating. They then stuck around the tree as they would defend it.

"Will you look at that? You are a whole Disney Princess, but instead of Disney, you got a bunch of monsters."

One of the squirrels jumped down and landed on his shoulder. The squirrel was around two feet tall and it began to lick his face. Since it was his blood that had done this and he was Satella's Master, the magical critters decided to serve him too.

"Awww, that is adorable. Hey pal, I got a mission for you."

The Squirrel jumped off his shoulder got onto the ground and saluted waiting for orders.

"I want you to get your fellow squirrels and have them start planting more of those Acorns around the property. Satella, you think you can control the trees that grow?"

"Of course, those trees won't turn sentient and instead serve as an extension of my tree. I was planning on doing that."

"Good, you do that and expand your influence. When we finally leave this place and I give you the Golden Fleece, I am sure you will grow fast enough to control the trees from vast distances."

With his order given the Squirrel rushed back to the tree to gather its fellow mutated Squirrels and even the mutated Blue Jays and Crows. He saw them gather nuts before scurrying away on land or in the air to plant them.

'I am doing good.'

"Good work Satella. Be back real quick."

Constantine began to walk down the steps to his workshop and since he had slept for 6 hours, six days should have passed. When he entered, he saw his Undead still hard at work and if anything they were working harder.

He saw that they had fully dismantled all four Iowa Class and they were starting to rebuild one piece by piece. They were starting to build it around the Abyssal Steel Nuclear Soul Reactor which was in good progress.

The Undead would smelt down pieces of the Four Iowa Class, turn that into Dragon Steel, reforge the pieces they needed, and then enchant it through the Undead Mages. Once all that was done, they would then add it to the schematics Constantine had given them.

"Time to get to work."

He pulled up his sleeves and he began to lead his vast hoard of Undead. Just having an Iowa Class was not going to be enough, it needed to be bigger, better, more armored, and more powerful.

More so than even the Musashi and Yamato, but those ships were not magical and were limited by human science. With Magic, limits such as that didn't exist so once he got the schematics he decided on new dimensions.

The ship he would build, he would name it The Will Of The Dark. He also took inspiration from the IVth Legion of Space Marines by ordering more armor, more weapons, and more power.

He began roaring out orders to his Undead to speed up the work. He wanted all teams to work double-time. At his orders, his Undead all raised their tools and did as instructed. Smelting more Dragon Steel, making sure the parts they forged were strong, smelted the Celestial Bronze for wire in Underworld Flame and Vritra's Dragon Fire.

With Constantine not having anything better to do for the moment, he stuck around in his workshop leading his vast hoard of Undead in their work. Days began passing by with the project picking up speed.

The initial body of The Will Of The Dark began to take shape around The Abyssal Steel Nuclear Soul Reactor. After the Reactor was in place and the shell was grown around it, the rest of the ship began to be assembled piece by piece around the pressure Hull.

Once the reactor and its compartment were built, the electrical systems were started as long strands of blackened Celestial Bronze were put into place. The electrical system was going to be odd once he added the needed souls to the reactor.

Until then the ship began to take shape around the Abyssal Reactor part by part. His Undead Blacksmiths and Mages were meticulous to make sure nothing was wrong. Since this was going to be his flagship it needed to be perfect to the last detail.

Eventually, after 12 days with Constantine leading things, someone entered his workshop. He at the moment was shirtless as he was standing over one of the blast forges adding his blood to the molten metal.

He raised his head and saw Medusa waiting for him.

"12 hours passed outside right?"

Medusa nodded as she looked at his shirtless body. She wasn't wearing her blindfold showing her light pink eyes.

"Yup, Carmen was asking if you were going to come for dinner. It is now 8 PM."

"August 23rd, meaning I got 11 normal days before my 15th birthday and 10 days before my meet-up with my mom. Doing the math that means I have 240 days to finish my flagship as long as I stay in this time formation."

Medusa nodded.

"Yeah, if you want to spend all that time in this Time Formation, and aren't you already 15 with how long you have spent in these formations?"

"Yeah, but it is the thought that counts don't you think? I will celebrate the second of September and the Full Moon with her and my birthday with my family. That seems fair, in the meantime, I think I am going to stay here until my ship is done."

Medusa accepted his orders.

"That is fine, you are the boss and it is your time."

She waved before she left his workshop. His Undead which had been looking at her all shrugged their skeletal shoulders before they got back to work. Constantine himself shrugged before he began focusing on the smelting blackened Dark Dragon Steel.

He looked into the distance where tens of thousands of Undead carried over parts that they would set into place before using power tools to screw in bolts, screws, and other rivets. The Will Of The Dark was starting to radiate a dark malevolence as more and more of it was constructed.

He couldn't help but smile as he watched his Flagship take form from Dark Dragon Steel. His Blacksmiths carefully laid out the blackened Celestial Bronze wires through it and they made sure each tiny detail was taken care of.

Like this, several weeks passed by with Medusa visiting him every eight days. That was eight hours her time, but Vritra eventually returned to his side and stayed with him. The Evil Dragon began to offer his aid in the construction to speed things up.

Construction wasn't exactly slow, and it was only thanks to Constantine's god-like resilience that he didn't need rest, food, or time to relax. He did make sure to put Artemis and Zoe who were in his shadow to sleep along with the Hunters.

He left them all in his shadow in suspended animation since he could deal with them later. He had too much focus on his ship since he just wanted a cool ship. It took humans almost two years to fully build a single Iowa Class, but it didn't take his undead nearly that long. Not only was each of his undead as strong as several men, but they didn't stop working, they needed no breaks and they could work nonstop.

According to Vritra, Constantine was facing his first draconic obsession. It sometimes happened to powerful Dragons where they put all their focus on a single goal until it was complete.

Constantine didn't see it as a bad thing and since he wasn't a mortal focusing for weeks on a project wasn't a big deal to him. In the end, through the untiring work of his army of Undead and his lead his The Will Of The Dark was completed.

After almost 21 weeks of nonstop work, the gigantic black Warship was complete. The ship was armed with six turrets armed with four 20-inch caliber guns each, which were 4 inches bigger than the original 16-inch guns.

It was a total of 24 guns that each were rifled with Abyssal Steel and they launched 3,000-pound shells that would need to be made by the Blacksmiths. As secondary armaments, they were armored with 30-10-inch guns.

To defend itself from aircraft and airborne creatures, it had 100 Hydra Auto Cannons across its hull, and another 75 Heavy Bolters and 50 Heavy Lascannons. To give it an extra kick, he also placed several Hades Pattern Autocannons and broadside cannons across the 22 inches of heavily enchanted Dragon Steel Armor.

As for size, the ship was a behemoth at 4,500 feet long which was five times bigger than any of the original Iowa Class. It was also 540 feet wide and the entire thing was pitch black radiating a deep dark aura.

Deep inside the ship were several Manufactorums where the Undead could create equipment, make repairs, or make ammunition for the ship. He would need to set up some mines to continue to feed his forges inside the ship.

As Constantine took in the sight of his masterpiece, The Will Of The Dark which took 21 weeks in a Time Formation to complete. Almost five months of nonstop work which was only one-fourth of the original by human hands.

The ship seemed like a mix of a 40k style Gloriana Class Battleship, just not for space and made for water. It was also no where near the right size, but for what he built it seemed good for the moment.

His Undead all watched in silence as Constantine took in the sight of the ship they turned to him.

"You all did excellent work, my Undead. It is time for us to activate the ship, but I need souls. 20,000 souls at the minimum. This is optional and is not needed, your souls will be offered to the Abyssal Reactor.

I mean I can just get-"

He didn't even get a chance to finish as 20,000 of the new Undead he got from Verdun walked out of the group and kneeled. They were offering themselves as they felt they had done their part. They had repaid their debt and they were done.

"Are you sure? We can just raid a prison for souls, you don't need to sacrifice yourselves."

The 20,000 Skeletons lowered their heads as they made their choice. Vritra who was around his neck nodded.

"They made their choice, let us respect it."

Constantine agreed.

"Right then, I hope you 20,000 can find peace."

He waved his hand and he began to pull the souls out of these Undead. Their souls were pretty much blank already after spending so long in Verdun. They barely had any memories, but as he dragged their souls toward him he used magic to erase their final memories.

The skeletons crumbled into ash and their remnants began flowing toward the ship. Constantine began to drag their souls into his hands which quickly began to take shape into a single potent soul. Before long, all 20,000 souls were gathered together.

In his hand, the super condensed soul was glowing a dark purple waiting. He teleported with Vritra to the Abyssal Steel Nuclear Soul Reactor which was already loaded up with an enriched Uranium Core.

It was just waiting to be activated, but before then, he and Vritra began to fuse the soul that they had created from 20,000 Undead souls. The Abyssal Steel began to drag this soul into itself fusing its energy into itself.

As Constantine made his way out of the Reactor Room, he sealed it behind him. When he did so, he didn't even have to give an order as the Reactor Fired up. As the Nuclear fission reaction took place soul energy was fused with it which then went to fuel the electrical systems of the ship.

That electricity as it flowed through the Celestial Bronze carried with it magic, and soul energy which slowly, but surely turned on all the systems of the giant ship. As Constantine heard the ship roar to life he smiled as he now had his fun method to rule the Sea Of Monsters away from the eyes of the gods.

"ALL UNDEAD LOAD UP! IT IS TIME TO TAKE OUR FIRST VOYAGE! TIME TO GO TO THE SEA OF MONSTERS!"

He teleported Medusa and Solomon to his side as they would not want to miss this. Plus, he would be able to recruit two monsters Scylla and Charybdis. Plus, only five days had passed outside making it the 28th of August meaning he still had 5 days until his meet-up with his Mother.

'For 21 weeks of work, I feel this was all worth it, now time to take my baby out for a test drive.'
