Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Lazy

"Well, Farfetch'd is curious about why the man we met this morning was so strong. He wants to know if being strong would be beneficial for him," Zorua translated earnestly, and Farfetch'd nodded while holding its leek.

Heath looked curiously at Farfetch'd. "Farfetch'd" was such a fitting nickname. He wondered how these two little ones communicated. So, does Zorua have a nickname too?

"Zorua, would you like to help me explain?" Heath asked with a smile. Zorua rolled its eyes at Heath.

Seeing Farfetch'd's curious expression, Heath decided to explain it properly to his Pokémon. As a Trainer, it was his duty to clear up their doubts, especially about getting stronger.

"Muscles naturally help increase strength, Farfetch'd. For example, if two Charmanders were fighting, the one with more muscles would likely have the upper hand," Heath explained while patting Farfetch'd's head.

Farfetch'd looked at Heath with a slightly puzzled expression. Heath knew it was hard to explain such concepts with words, especially for a Pokémon to grasp fully.

Heath looked up and saw a white-collar worker. He remembered this person worked in a nearby office building as an ad designer, a rather grueling job.

"Look, Uncle William could probably take down five, no, ten of him," Heath whispered, pointing at the worker. Farfetch'd immediately nodded in understanding.

Then, Farfetch'd started waving its leek excitedly and chattering, but Heath still couldn't understand a word.

"Zorua," Heath called, but Zorua didn't respond, seemingly fast asleep with a bit of drool at the corner of its mouth.

Heath's mouth twitched. This little one sure knew how to hold a grudge.

"Dear Zorua, what would you like to eat?" Heath smiled at Zorua, regretting his earlier impatience. Now, he had to pay the price.

Zorua still didn't react, maintaining a poker face, like an emotionless machine.

"You know, I'm not calling you Zorua, but 'Lolo.' Doesn't that sound nice?" Heath tried another tactic.

Zorua twitched, and Heath's heart lifted. Maybe it was working?

But the next second, he heard Zorua's loud snores. Heath covered his face in exasperation. This little one was really going all out with the fake sleep.

No wonder people said you could never wake someone pretending to sleep. They pretended just to avoid talking to you.

"Sigh, I guess I'll just feed the spicy chicken to Farfetch'd then," Heath sighed. Zorua instantly jumped up from the chair.

"You cheater! That's mine!" Zorua exclaimed, looking flustered. Heath chuckled and hugged Zorua, who wriggled nervously.

"What are you planning to do?" Zorua asked, panicking but seemingly expectant. What was she expecting?

"If you help me translate, I'll make you an egg soup. How about that?" Heath shook his head, focusing on coaxing Zorua out of her tantrum.

After some hesitation, Zorua nodded.

"Well, Farfetch'd wants to train his muscles to become the strongest Farfetch'd," Zorua quickly translated. Heath looked at Farfetch'd, who seemed quite determined.

"Remember, Trainer, if you break your promise, I'll bite you!" Zorua threatened, pouting. Heath nodded with a smile.

Then Heath turned his attention to Farfetch'd. If Farfetch'd wanted to train...

He suddenly remembered a fitness toolset he had gotten before. Heath rummaged through his cabinet and found the box.

It was a toolkit, but when Heath opened it, he realized it was much larger inside, filled with miniature fitness equipment.

Heath cautiously took out a dumbbell. As soon as it left the box, it expanded to its full size, instantly becoming heavy.

"High-tech stuff," Heath marveled. This fitness toolset was incredibly convenient.

"Farfetch'd, try this," Heath handed the dumbbell to Farfetch'd. It weighed five kilograms, quite light.

Farfetch'd nodded and began working out with the dumbbell. Since there were no customers, Heath watched Farfetch'd train from his chair.

"Fifteen... twenty," Heath counted as Farfetch'd exercised, but Farfetch'd soon dropped the dumbbell and collapsed, exhausted.

"Farfetch'd says he's too tired and will continue tomorrow," Zorua translated, reminding Heath that she wanted big chunks of chicken in her meal.

Heath smiled wryly at Farfetch'd. It seemed Farfetch'd had a unique workout schedule.

Heath shook his head. Whether muscle training helped Pokémon wasn't clear, but Farfetch'd was already strong.

As Heath was about to serve more customers, Zorua suddenly jumped up, alert and staring in one direction. Heath looked down, puzzled, and saw Zorua staring at a cabinet.

"What's wrong?" Heath asked Zorua.

"The cabinet door moved," Zorua said seriously.

"Are we playing the 'I'm not playing anymore, my cabinet door moved' game?" Heath joked, forgetting no one here would get the reference, earning a disdainful look from Zorua.

Heath pouted, bored, and opened the cabinet door. Inside, a Charmander was trying to open the fitness toolbox with little success.

Charmander was focused on prying open the toolbox lid, which was securely locked, making it impossible for Charmander to open.

"So focused," Heath thought, watching the little Charmander. Despite Heath squatting right beside it, it was still trying to open the box, completely oblivious to Heath.
