Chapter 33: Chapter 33: The day God died, GOD-1567

Wu Youqing sat upright on a wooden chair, her slender legs encased in tight jeans slightly closed. Her delicate face glowed with a pale luminescence, and her waist-length ponytail swayed gently as she moved. She placed her right hand on her heart and introduced herself with a bright smile, "My name is Wu Youqing."

"You for youthful, Qing for sunny day."

Xue Jing introduced himself in return, "Xue Jing. 'Xue' as in snow, and 'Jing' for scenery."

Wu Youqing asked curiously, "So, how did you come into contact with the concept of 'God's relics'?"

"Sorry, I can't discuss that," Xue Jing responded, shaking his head. He was wary because Kant Security Company might still be targeting Maomao, and her information couldn't be disclosed carelessly.

"I can only tell you that I did come into contact with God's relics. If possible, I hope you can provide me with information about them," Xue Jing said cautiously.

Wu Youqing didn't seem bothered by Xue Jing's vague response. She pondered for a moment, then tilted her head and asked, "Is the 'divine relic' you encountered of the strange object type or biological type?"

"There are biological types of divine relics?" Xue Jing expressed his surprise, inadvertently confirming the nature of the relic he encountered.

Wu Youqing nodded, understanding his implication. "It seems you've dealt with a strange object type."

She then stood up, walked to the wall of the rest area, and squatted to pull out a very inconspicuous wooden handle. A secret cabinet was hidden in the wall.

Her squatting position accentuated the curve of her hips against the backdrop of her slender waist, drawing Xue Jing's eyes for a few extra moments. He noted, "Tight jeans are also quite revealing."

Expecting perhaps some hidden documents or secrets, Xue Jing was surprised when Wu Youqing instead pulled out a collection of tea sets and a transparent kettle filled with water, placing them on the table.

"Do you prefer tea or coffee?" she asked as she began wiping down the tea set.

"Are those my only options?" Xue Jing glanced at the hidden compartment.

"And this," Wu Youqing added, retrieving a 330ml can of Coca-Cola from the compartment.

Despite the alternate historical trajectory of their worlds, familiar items like Coca-Cola had still made their appearance.

Xue Jing reached for the can, "I'll have this, thank you."

Wu Youqing didn't hand it over immediately but instead opened it, poured the dark carbonated beverage into an ornate porcelain cup, and pushed it towards Xue Jing with a bartender's flair.

Xue Jing couldn't help but comment, "Quite the presentation."

Without replying, Wu Youqing took out a bag of unbranded tea leaves, prepared the tea, and poured hot water from the kettle into the pot, steam billowing as it met the air.

As she made the tea, Wu Youqing said, "Two hundred and eighty-seven years ago, 'God' died."

"Or more accurately, 'God' was killed."

Xue Jing listened intently. The death of God was a monumental event in this world, still frequently discussed even centuries later.

However, whether the deceased 'God' is the omniscient and omnipotent Lord from the Christian Bible is unverifiable, so the accepted official statement is simply 'the death of God'.

'God' is the deity of this world, nameless and referred to just as 'God' in the human cognitive concept. He can also be called "God", "Allah", "Brahma", or "Yuanshi Tianzun" it depends on who prefers to call it such.

The reason for the commonality of the name 'God' is that the Christian concept of God is deeply ingrained in people's minds and aligns closely with the general definition of "God".

287 years ago, "God" manifested physically in the material world for the first and last time.

Historical records state that on that day, every human on Earth witnessed, in some inexplicable way, a colossal luminous figure cradling the Earth in his hands who, after a tremendous, piercing scream, disintegrated into countless points of light.

At that moment, the phrase "God is dead" was imprinted into the consciousness of every human like a thought stamp.

That day also marked the beginning of the "two-world overlap phenomenon" on this planet. Following the phases of "world shock", "weak overlap", and "strong overlap", various "intersections" emerged.

These intersections have since brought humanity countless opportunities and crises.

The administrative divisions of the nine metropolitan areas of Zhuxia today stem from the historical legacies of a border crisis.

"What most people don't know is that 'God' left something behind when he died," Wu Youqing stirred the liquid in her teacup with a small spoon, beginning to explain the origins of the god's relics.

"The particles that scattered when 'God' died... let's call them 'God's blood' for now."

"This 'God's blood' is dispersed worldwide and resides in various entities."

"Whether objects, creatures, or even a human's imagination..."

"We refer to these transformed and hosted entities as - God's relics."

Xue Jing listened intently, captivated by what she was saying. Wu Youqing then pushed the teacup towards him.

"Try it."

Xue Jing, distracted, picked up the teacup, took a sip, and swallowed.

He immediately frowned and examined the tea.

The brown-red liquid color seemed like typical black tea, and he could smell the faintly bitter aroma.

However, the taste was unexpectedly sweet.

"What is this?" he asked.

"Guess," Wu Youqing said, her eyes twinkling mischievously, clearly enjoying the moment.

Thinking aloud, Xue Jing blurted out, "It can't be Youqing Tea..."

As soon as he spoke, he realized the potential inappropriateness of his comment, hoping a refined lady like Wu Youqing wouldn't catch the implied meaning.

(TN - Her name is Wu Youqing, but there is also a tea named Youching tea)

Before he could clarify, he noticed a blush on Wu Youqing's face, and her expression seemed to say; I didn't expect this from you, Xue Jing...

Xue Jing coughed awkwardly, "Don't keep me in suspense, please explain."

Wu Youqing rolled her eyes playfully, lifted the transparent kettle with one hand while supporting the bottom with the other, and announced, "Serial number GOD-1567·Sweet Water Kettle."

A divine relic?

It's Indeed a divine relic; the divine essence is right before my eyes!
