Chapter 1: Konoha's Super Bootlicker

Konoha Village, Uchiha Clan Territory.

"Beat him mercilessly, kill this traitor!" An Uchiha clan member said fiercely.

At the same time, they added punches and kicks to the person lying on the ground, who was wailing in pain.

Around them, two other Uchiha clan members also attacked the person on the ground, constantly muttering, "That guy Itachi is the chief's son. We can't do anything to him, but who do you think you are? How dare you betray the great Uchiha clan?"

"Although you're also the chief's son, you're just a bastard! Hahaha!"

"You're trash, a disgrace to the Uchiha clan. Today, we'll beat you to a pulp!"

"He's just a coward, unworthy of the Uchiha name."

After some time, perhaps exhausted from the beating or not wanting to cause a death in the village, the three attackers finally left when the person on the ground had completely lost consciousness.

The person lying there had a left leg bent at an odd angle, clearly broken.

...

In the quiet and dimly lit night of the Uchiha clan land, a person with a battered head and bloodied body slowly opened their weary eyes.

His name was Uchiha Waku, a time-traveler and the illegitimate son of Uchiha Fugaku. Due to various factors, including his natural disposition, Fugaku had never acknowledged his identity, although most of the clan members were aware of it.

When he was four years old, his mother passed away due to illness, leaving him alone.

In his previous life, he suffered from an extremely rare condition called hypermnesia. Hypermnesia meant he involuntarily remembered everything he encountered.

To cope with the overwhelming memories, he rarely interacted with others, leading to his reclusive nature.

His social isolation made him a target for bullying, and those painful memories were etched deeply in his mind.

At eighteen, he couldn't bear it any longer and contemplated suicide.

Before ending his life, he gave some money to a beggar. In return, the beggar gave him an ancestral book called "The Clear Heart Dao."

He didn't pay much attention to it initially, but as he casually flipped through the book, its contents imprinted deeply in his mind.

With a bitter smile, as if he already knew the outcome, he eventually drank poison and committed suicide.

However, his soul unexpectedly found itself in the Naruto world.

Given a second chance, he still had hypermnesia. The memories of his previous death gnawed at him relentlessly, like an insidious parasite.

The pain, loneliness, and helplessness of death haunted him. Having hypermnesia, he remembered every detail. Death was maddening, worse than any torture!

Although, due to an accident, Uchiha Waku recalled the "Clear Heart Dao" from his past life, allowing him to selectively remember when reciting it.

But that one death left a permanent shadow in his heart. Therefore, Uchiha Waku now fears death immensely.

Upon learning that he had transmigrated into the Uchiha clan in the Naruto world, he constantly worries about the Uchiha prodigal son. He fears that one day the prodigal son might kill him.

So, he tried to recall the pain from his past, but he didn't awaken the Sharingan. This made him feel like he lacked any natural talent.

In reality, it was true. At thirteen years old, he was still just a genin, proficient only in the three basic jutsu. In the history of the Uchiha clan, most ninja had greater innate abilities than him.

Having realized early on that relying solely on himself was futile, he decided to become a bootlicker. He wholeheartedly licked Uchiha Itachi's boots, unwaveringly following Itachi's lead. He even praised Itachi as the true Uchiha of Konoha. Not only did he lick Itachi's boots, but he also flattered Sarutobi Hiruzen.

In his heart, he hoped that by being an enthusiastic bootlicker, he might avoid being killed...

Thinking to himself, if he licked Itachi enough, perhaps Itachi wouldn't kill him after all.

Uchiha Waku dragged his broken leg, enduring excruciating pain, silently reciting the "Clear Heart Dao" to alleviate his suffering. Limping and hobbled, he made his way back to his modest single-room house. Pushing open the door, he was met with the stern countenance of a middle-aged man sitting inside.

This man was none other than Uchiha Fugaku!

"Father... Clan leader," Uchiha Waku stammered.

He dared not call Fugaku his father, as he had never been acknowledged!

"Truly, you've brought shame upon me!" Fugaku said coldly.

His expression remained icy, showing no concern for Uchiha Waku's injuries. He continued:

"Within a year, if you remain a genin, I will revoke your Uchiha surname! The Uchiha clan tolerates no waste; we are a proud lineage!"

"Yes, Clan leader," Uchiha Waku replied, bowing his head.

"Hmph, take care of yourself."

With that, Fugaku left without looking back.

Uchiha Waku breathed a sigh of relief, finally collapsing onto his bed, drifting into a drowsy sleep.

The next day, he woke up in the afternoon. His injuries had significantly improved, although his broken leg still needed time to heal. Oddly enough, Uchiha Waku's recovery surpassed even some ordinary members of the Senju clan.

For the following days, Uchiha Waku remained reclusive, nursing his wounds at home.

Ten days later, his injuries were fully healed. Sitting by the window, he gazed at the moon above, pondering: When exactly is the night of the Uchiha massacre? Will that guy, Uchiha Itachi, kill me? What should I do if he really intends to?

Shaking his head, Uchiha Waku dismissed these chaotic thoughts. He murmured to himself, "No, no, even during my days of injury, I diligently sent Itachi a few skewers of dango every day. I licked his boots so enthusiastically; surely he won't kill me."

Yes, you heard correctly. Even with his broken leg, Uchiha Waku persisted in buying dango for Itachi.

And now, in the present...

Well, it's unlikely any woman would find him appealing.

As Uchiha Waku grappled with his inner conflict, the Uchiha clan faced a catastrophe—the night of their annihilation had begun!

"Help!"

"Uchiha Itachi, you traitor!"

"Leaf Village lapdog, Uchiha Itachi, you won't die a peaceful death!"

...
