Evelyn slipped into her baby blue loungewear, the soft cotton top and loose shorts comfortable against her skin. She carefully checked the bandage on her arm, ensuring it was secure, before stepping out of the bathroom.

A small smile tugged at her lips as she spotted Avery fast asleep beside Kiana on the bed, both clearly drained from the day's drama. Tugging them under the blanket, she gently walked out of the room, shutting the door. With a silly grin, she padded down the stairs, her mind lighter than it had been all day.

When she reached the kitchen, she paused at the entrance, leaning against the doorframe. There he was—her charming, handsome, hard-working husband, cooking for her. 

Zevian had changed into a grey shirt and loose black pants, his muscles flexing subtly as he stirred something in a bowl. His tousled hair framed his face perfectly, and Evelyn couldn't help but admire him in silence, feeling her heart swell in joy.
