Chapter 6: Chapter 6 – Helping a Damsel in Distress
Ding dong~
Class was over.
"Finally! Let's go, buddy!"
Sam quickly grabbed Tom and ran towards his apartment.
"Calm down, man. The party won't start until tonight!"
"But I have to buy clothes. Man, you have to appear fresh in front of girls, you know."
What his friend said made sense. Tom also needed plenty of clothes in case he wanted to create another appearance as well.
'If I am lucky, I might be able to complete the quest in this party. It would be awesome if I could.'
Tom smiled. He was confident that he could do it. He could just be two different people and hit two different girls.
'That would be so easy. I hope.'
The two of them reached the shopping mall. It was full of people, and there were a lot of shops.
"Dude, I will go to the third floor. Wait for me anywhere you like."

Sam disappeared into the crowd, and Tom was left alone.
He looked around, trying to find a good store. He was by no means low on money, but he also couldn't spend too much. He was a college student, after all.
"Let's go to the men's store first."
The first shop he went to was the men's store. He browsed through the clothes and picked the ones he liked and probably fit James' appearance.

He was checking the price tag, and he found that these clothes were expensive.

After buying a few clothes, he went to the counter and paid for them. He only bought two general sizes, the one fit for him and slightly smaller for James.

With that, he left the store.
Tom decided to check the other stores, but none of them seemed to have what he was looking for. He was about to give up and head back to his apartment when he saw a familiar face.
'Huh? Isn't that Sienna?'
Sienna was one of the girls in his class. She was a member of the cheerleader club and one of the prettiest girls in his class.
Curious, he decided to use <Appraisal> to make sure.

Then, he walked toward the group.
"Hey, is there a problem?"
Everyone turned their heads and looked at him.
"My girlfriend looks uncomfortable, can you explain?"
He spoke with confidence.
The man who was harassing her blinked in confusion. He didn't expect someone else to come in and claim her like that.
However, when Tom approached Sienna without worry and called her name affectionately, they began to think twice.
"Sienna, are you okay?"
Tom gently held her hand. He smiled gently, trying to calm her down.
"I-I'm fine."
Sienna was surprised, but she didn't look angry. Rather, she played along although she was still confused why a guy like him knew her name.
'Maybe he's from the same campus.' She thought, appreciating his help.
The group of men finally realized that this guy wasn't just some random person who was trying to hit on her. He was most likely her real boyfriend.
"Sorry, dude. Didn't mean to offend you. We thought she's single."
"It's okay. But I think you should leave now. We have something to talk about."
"Sure, sure. See ya, man."
The group left them alone, leaving them alone in the corner. After they disappeared, Tom released his hold and looked at Sienna.
"Sorry for touching you so suddenly. Are you okay? Do you want to go somewhere else?"
"Ah, no. It's okay. Thank you for helping me, Mr...?"
"My name is James. Feel free to call me that."
"I'm Sienna March. Thank you for your help, James."
Sienna smiled and thanked him. Tom noticed that she was very polite, and he felt that she was quite cute.
'If only I wasn't so busy with the quest, I would love to pursue her.'
Tom sighed. He wanted to get to know her better, but he was currently in a hurry.
"James?"

Tom waved goodbye and walked away.

Sienna wanted to stop him, but she was too shy and embarrassed to do so. She could only stand there and watch him leave.
'What should I do? I didn't get his number.'
She didn't know if he went to the same college as hers. She wanted to repay him for his help.
'I-I will try to ask around tomorrow. Hopefully I can find him.'

Tom was back to his original appearance and met up with Sam. The guy only bought a pair of clothes due to his limited money, but he seemed satisfied with his find.
"Dude, I can't wait to party!"
"That's good. Hey, by the way, how many girls are going to the party? You said that there will be some cheerleaders coming. Is Sienna among them?"

Naturally, he lied. He had been planning to go to the club since the start. Not as Tom, but as his created character, James. It was convenient to do a mission with it, as no one would know that it was him.
"Fine, fine. Suit yourself. I'll be going now. See ya later, man! If I get a girl, I won't crash in your place tonight."
"You too, bro. Have fun."
