The carriage jolted, and Roger looked outside. The city walls were receding in the distance; he glanced at Henrik and understood the implication in his words.

Henrik wanted to resolve the issue with the female Night Demon on his own.

"I can only take you this far."

The carriage slowed down and came to a stop.

Roger and his companion stepped down from the carriage; New Moon City was now barely visible in the distance, surrounded by a wilderness dotted with withered trees, from which a black crow descended, emitting a piercing screech.

"Please be sure to follow the marked trail on the map, the wilderness around New Moon City is very dangerous."

The coachman sighed.
