The hallmark of the Constant Path is stability, unchangeability. As a race naturally close to the Constant Path, this influence is reflected in every facet of the Dwarf Clan.
In the philosophical concept of the dwarves, a person is born as an uncarved stone, and the ultimate form they achieve is the "Stone Phase."
An established Stone Phase can provide a dwarf with strength, resistance, and affinity for the Constant Path, but it also entails limitations, because the Stone Phase is a composite of character traits and behavioral norms, even a collection of stereotypes that, once set, cannot be changed. Take Kane, for example—he carries the "King Stone Phase," meaning he must be a just and selfless Dwarf King who loves his people like children and keeps his word, whilst also being taciturn. However, this also means he is inevitably obstinate and rigid... and, like most dwarves, holds grudges.
But...
What if a dwarf wants to make a change that doesn't fit their Stone Phase?
