Chapter 152: The strongest
In the midst of the storm of war that shook the entire capital, two powerful figures stood facing each other. Esdeath and General Budo, once known as the double walls of the empire, now faced each other as enemies. They were both the embodiment of strength and will, and now, they stood in the middle of a burning battlefield.
Esdeath stared at Budo with a sharp gaze. Her long blue hair fluttered in the wind, while her aura of power enveloped her surroundings. "General Budo, I have heard much about you. But all of that means nothing before me," she said in a cold voice.
Budo smiled sinisterly, rays of lightning blazing on his body. "You may be strong, Esdeath, but I will not back down. My Teigu will not be defeated by anyone."
With a single movement, Budo raised his hand, and instantly thunder boomed above them. Lightning shot down from the sky, crashing down toward Esdeath at incredible speed. However, Esdeath only smiled. With a swift movement, she raised her hand, and a thick wall of ice appeared before her, stopping the lightning strike as if it were just a splash of water.
"Good, but that was just a warm-up," Esdeath said, her eyes gleaming with challenge. She moved her right hand, and thousands of ice cones emerged from the ice wall, shooting towards Budo.
Budo did not panic. He raised both hands, and lightning surrounded his body, creating an energy shield that repelled all the ice needles. "You think your attack can destroy me? Adramelec is not only for attacking, but also for protecting!"
Esdeath frowned. She knew Budo was not an easy opponent. She had to use all her abilities.
"Then, let's see who is stronger!" she shouted, and with a swift movement, she thrust her hand into the ground. A thunderous sound was heard, and a tall wall of ice appeared, forming a magnificent battle arena.
She stepped forward confidently, moving her hand to summon a blizzard. Snow began to fall, creating a white curtain that covered her vision.
"In this cold, you will taste death," she said, her voice hoarse with a hint of threat.
Budo did not flinch. He channeled his lightning energy, and a flash of light instantly illuminated the arena. With one strike, he unleashed a wave of thunder that tore through the snow and headed towards Esdeath.
"Adramelec, grant me power!" Budo shouted, and lightning struck his opponent.
"You have to be better than that, General Budo!" Esdeath raised her hand, and ice began to form around her, forming a shield that blocked the attack and spoke with unwavering confidence.
With incredible speed, Esdeath charged towards Budo, extending her hand to unleash a deadly ice attack. Budo prepared, gathering his strength to strike back.
"I will not allow myself to lose!" he shouted.
The two forces collided, ice and lightning intersecting. The sound of clanging and exploding filled the air, creating shockwaves that destroyed their surroundings. Esdeath glided nimbly, dodging each of Budo's attacks while continuing to unleash her own ice attacks.
However, Budo did not give up. He leapt into the air, unleashing a lightning attack that was more powerful than before.
"It's time to end this!" he shouted, and the lightning shot out at deadly speed.
Esdeath, with her composure, raised her hand and activated Mahapdama. Time seemed to freeze around her. She could see every movement of Budo, every detail of the incoming lightning strike. With incredible composure, she manipulated time and space, launching a precise ice attack towards Budo.
"Your time is up, General Budo!" she shouted as she slammed the ice towards her opponent. In her frozen state, the attack was unavoidable. Budo could only stand still as the ice attack approached.
Lightning and ice collided, creating an explosion that shook the entire arena. As time flowed back, a terrifying explosion sounded. Esdeath stood still, while Budo fell to the ground, his body covered in ice.
"Now, feel the eternal emptiness," Esdeath said coldly. She raised her hand, and the ice around Budo began to shrink, burying the general in eternal cold.
Budo struggled against the ice that ensnared him, but all his efforts were in vain.
"This... is impossible..." he sighed weakly, as he felt his life force drain away. "You… are truly a monster…"
With one move, Esdeath ended Budo's life. The frozen ice disappeared, leaving behind a terrifying silence. The battlefield was silent again, with only the sound of the wind rustling.
Esdeath stood in the middle of the arena, staring at the shadow of Budo's body as he lay before walking away, leaving behind a gruesome trace of battle, and once again, her ice power proved that she was the strongest.
However, even though Esdeath managed to defeat Budo, the war was not over yet. In another corner of the capital, Jaeger members and some Night Raid united, fighting to save the citizens trapped in the chaos along with Esdeath's personal soldiers. They tried hard to avoid unnecessary casualties.

Inside the palace, Honest was accompanied by the four Raksha demons and the little emperor.
'It seems like there is no other choice but to activate that thing' Honest thought as he saw the situation getting worse and the enemy soldiers starting to approach the palace.
"Your Majesty, it's time for you to show the majesty of the imperial family to those rebels" said Honest.
"But minister, is it okay?, I'm afraid it will destroy the capital" said the little emperor hesitantly for the first time.
"Your Majesty, you don't want the empire to end in your hands, right?" Honest asked seriously.
Hearing this, the little emperor nodded solemnly, even though he was a puppet emperor who didn't know anything, but as an emperor he didn't want the empire to be destroyed when he became emperor, this was the natural instinct of a ruler.
"You are right, minister, I will exterminate those insects" said the little Emperor before activating the ultimate Teigu. The ultimate Teigu was actually located underground in the throne room and could be activated at any time by the little emperor.
