Chapter 84: Heretical God summoning ceremony
Sicily is the largest and most populous island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of 20 regions in Italy. The name of the island comes from the Siculi tribe, a tribe that inhabited the eastern part of the island in the Iron Age. Sicily has a rich and distinctive culture in the areas of art, music, literature, cuisine and architecture.
Sicily is in the central Mediterranean Sea, south of the Italian Peninsula which is part of mainland Europe; The island is separated from Calabria by the Strait of Messina.
Segesta is one of the big cities in Sicily, Italy. In contrast to the atmosphere of a big city where there are many people roaming the streets and it is busy, Segesta or all of Sicily is filled with a quiet atmosphere like a dead city where not a single person can be seen.
This was because a few days earlier all the residents of Sicily had been evacuated and moved elsewhere by the Italian magic association. The reason for this was because of the desire of the seventh Campione as ruler of Italy who wanted to hold a heretical god summoning ritual in Segesta, Sicily.
There is a temple of worship of Apollo Phoebos, the god of light, sun, music and dance in Roman mythology in Segesta. Therefore Noah decided to summon Apollo Phoebos from mythology in that place.
A magnificent ancient temple stood in the middle of the city of Segesta, in the middle of the temple an altar was erected with various objects used to worship Apollo Phoebos.
A group of women stood around the altar while singing hymns praising Apollo, the women surrounding the altar were a group of hime-miko who had been gathered by the Italian and Japanese magic associations at Noah's orders. Among the hime-miko were Liliana Kranjcal who wore plain priestess clothes and Mariya Yuri who wore a typical Japanese hime-miko uniform.
Led by the Princess Alice, they continued to sing hymns praising Apollo Phoebos.
Noah and Edelweiss watched the ceremony from the side without disturbing them and waited patiently for the heretic god's arrival. The reason Noah summoned the heretical god was not because he wanted to kill the heretical god himself, but as Noah told Edelweiss before that he wanted to make Edelweiss the eighth Campione.

As the sound of the Hymn continued, the previously dark sky immediately turned bright as the sun rose in the night sky.
A blonde-haired, blue-eyed young man wearing an ancient Roman Toga floated in the sky while holding a silver bow in his hand.
Apart from being the god of the sun and light, Apollo is also known as the god of the bow, because the silver bow in Apollo's hand is his artifact as the god of the bow.
With the appearance of Apollo, the hime-miko immediately fell to the ground with pale faces due to excessive use of spiritual power while singing the hymn. During the ceremony, each hime-miko must use their spiritual vision to sing Hymns written in the Akashic records through the help of a ceremonial medium on the altar.
With the arrival of Apollo, the surrounding air became increasingly hot and dry making it difficult for ordinary humans to endure, fortunately the Italian magic association had evacuated the population so there were no casualties due to Apollo's arrival.
The heat in the air is still increasing with no sign of stopping, this is the result of the arrival of the heretical god, if the sun god comes then the heat in the world will continue to increase, if the sea god comes then there will be floods and tsunamis, if the death god comes then that place will became a land of death where plague and disease occurred everywhere.
Only a few of them didn't faint after the ceremony was over like princess Alice, Mariya Yuri, and Liliana.
"Are you okay, Yuri?" Liliana asked while supporting Mariya Yuri so she didn't fall.
"I'm fine, Liliana" said Mariya Yuri with a pale face and fear in her voice when she saw the heretic god floating in the sky as well as the hime-miko who had collapsed on the ground.
This reminded Mariya Yuri of the heretical god summoning ceremony 4 years ago where only she and Liliana survived.
"Don't worry, Yuri, the king has promised to protect all hime-miko who attend this ceremony. He is not a cruel king like Marquis Voban and will keep his promise," said Liliana, reassuring Yuri when she saw that Yuri's face was still pale and scared.
"Um" Mariya Yuri felt a little better after being comforted by Liliana's words.
"Humans, were you the ones who summoned me?" Apollo said to Alice and the others, he was unaware of Noah's existence because Noah had created a space barrier separating them.
"O great Apollo forgive our rudeness for disturbing your peace" said Alice respectfully, even though she had met heretical gods before, but still when she met them she would still feel a little afraid because if she offended them accidentally it could be a disaster.
"Ais, are you ready?" Noah asked Edelweiss beside him.
"I will definitely kill that god" said Edelweiss calmly without fear of the god. One of the requirements to become a Campione is to have no fear before the gods and have the desire to challenge them.
Soon Noah removed the space barrier covering them. As the space barrier disappeared, Apollo immediately sensed Noah's existence as a Campione.
"Oh? So you were the one who summoned me to usurp my authority, Campione. Do it if you have the ability," said Apollo when he felt Noah's presence.
"Sorry, you misjudged Apollo, I won't be your opponent," Noah said lightly before setting up a space barrier to protect Alice and the others.
"Oh?, is that you, human?" Apollo asked Edelweiss as he felt the fighting spirit directed at him. Even though Noah said he wouldn't fight him, Apollo was still wary of Noah, after all Noah was the biggest threat to him.
Edelweiss didn't answer Apollo's question, she just summoned the twin swords in her hands before rushing towards Apollo at high speed and attacking Apollo with her beautiful and deadly sword dance.
Ding...ding...
Edelweiss' sword collided with Apollo's silver bow and made a sharp iron clinking sound.
With the blessing given by Noah's youth authority, Edelweiss has extremely terrifying magic power and her physical strength has increased drastically.
Unlike Noah, who has many skills and always uses various unpredictable attacks, Edelweiss's every sword attack is very straightforward and relies on pure speed and good body control.
Edelweiss's right-handed sword made a diagonal slash with lightning speed, when Apollo saw Edelweiss's attack he immediately blocked it with his bow but Edelweiss's attack immediately changed direction midway and slashed his stomach horizontally before the sword in Edelweiss's left hand pierced Apollo's right shoulder.
Although Apollo's close combat skills were not weak, he was more adept at long distance archery skills. While he was injured, Apollo tried to get away from Edelweiss but kept being blocked by Edelweiss' attacks so he couldn't open his distance from Edelweiss.
