Chapter 19: CH 15: Alistair VS Alexis P2
Alistair :"Maybe I'm the problem..."
Jade :"Alistair-"
Alistair :"Nah, nevermind, that don't even sound right."
Jade :"..."

"If you think his looks are scary, just wait till you see his effect!" Alistair grinned :"Once per turn, I can banish one monster you control until your turn! So your Etoile Cyber will be taking a little timeout for now."
"Shaaa!" Malevolent Sin screeched, before shooting multiple webs that entangled around Etoile Cyber. Pulling on his web, he imprisoned her in the cobweb he was sticking to.
Alexis's eyes widened :"No, my Etoile Cyber!"
Alistair :"Now, Malevolent Sin, attack her directly!" While upside down on his cobweb,he twisted his head and shot another web at Alexis. Causing her to groan as the hologram passed through her.

She glared :"You're gonna pay for that!"
Alistair smirked :"I wanna see you try. Oh, and also, whenever my Malevolent Sin battles, at the end of the damage step, his ATK points will be raised by 300 while his level is raised by 3.

Next, I set a card face-down, then end my turn. And during my End Phase, my Ruffian Railcar's effect activates. If it's sent to the graveyard, it lets me add one Lv 10 Earth machine monster from my deck to my hand. So I'll take Heavy Freight Train Derricrane.
Well? How you like that for a turn?"
"Geez, that's one hell of a monster, huh?" Syrus expressed his amazement :"Can banish monsters –and– can increase its own ATK points? Sheesh, I definitely don't wanna go against it."
Jade grinned :"One hell of a beast, isn't he? But if you're shocked by that, wait till you see Alistair's real boss monster!"
Syrus was bamboozled :"That monster isn't his boss monster?!"
jade, for some reason, looked smug instead :"Hehehehe, you'll see what I mean in a second! If he's going to bring –that– out, that is."

"Alright then, my turn!" She declared, hyped about the challenge as Alistair informed :"And during your Standby Phase, your Etoile Cyber comes back."
Breaking out of the webs binding her, Etoile Cyber made her way back to Alexis's field quickly.
Seeing her monster back, Alexis smirked :"Alright then, time for me to make a comeback! Draw! Perfect." Before redirecting her smirk to Alistair :"I have to admit, Alistair, you're one hell of a duelist.
But it's gonna take a lot more than that to beat me! First, I play Blade Skater! But neither of these two ladies will be staying for long. Because I activate the spell card, polymerization, to fuse Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater together to summon Cyber Blader!

As she gracefully made her appearance, Jade watched with interest :"Ooh, is that her ace monster? She's cool, but isn't strong enough to take down Malevolent Sin."
In the other boat, Jasmine glared at her :"Well, guess what?! Alexis's ace monster has the effect to make up for the difference!"
Mindy nodded :"Yeah, just you watch! You're all going to pay for running your mouths!"
Clearly, the two didn't like Jade. Causing her to frown :"Geez, what's the matter with them?" She mumbled, and Alistair scoffed :"Envy is an ugly thing, Jade."
Syrus looked at him curiously :"What's this effect they're talking about? Must be something sick if it can make up for that much of an ATK difference."
"Not something. But some "things." Alistair smirked at Alexis :"Cyber Blader has three effects in total, and which one she gets depends on how many monsters the opponent controls. For example, while I control only Malevolent Sin, her Cyber Blader can't be destroyed by battle."
Syrus :"Whoa, what?! So she basically has an unbreakable shield?!"
Alistair :'Destruction effects have left the chat, I guess.'
Jade :"That's a really cool effect, but then why did she summon it in attack mode? Won't her life points still take a hit like that?"
Alexis smirked back :"Oh, you even know about my Cyber Blader? You really are smart, huh?"
He shrugged :"Eh, I've gone against a lot of cards. And the monsters with three effects tend to stand out." Before smirking :"But you do realize that I don't need to destroy to get to your life points, right?
My Malevolent Sin is still there. And with his effect, I can just banish your Cyber Blader and end this duel?"
But Alexis's smirk widened :"That would have been the case, if I didn't have the means to destroy him. But unfortunately for you, I do! And its name is Fusion Weapon! By equipping this spell card to my Cyber Blader, I can raise her ATK and Def by 1,500! So who's more badass now?"
[Cyber Blader: 2,100 ATK/ 800 Def -> 3,600 ATK/ 2,300 Def]
Alistair's face twitched :"Shit..." Causing her to smirk :"Not so tough now, huh? Judging from your reaction, you don't seem to like my combo much? Then you're definitely gonna hate this next one!"
Jade grabbed onto the boat :"Uh-oh. I think you might want to brace yourself for this one, boys."
Alistair frowned :"Why should we brace ourselves? It's a hologram."
Alexis :"Go, Blader! Attack Malevolent Sin with trident shock!"
As green electricity surged through her trident arm, it was shot at Malevolent Sin. But Alistair's frown suddenly turned upside down :"Fat chance, bub! I activate my face-down, Waboku! Now, not only do I not lose any life points, my Malevolent Sin isn't going anywhere either!"

"What?!" Her eyes widened as a barrier appeared around Malevolent Sin, shielding him from the electricity that disappeared without doing anything. Looking at the giant spider, Jade noticed it smiling mockingly at Alexis. Not that she could see it anyway, but it was funny to Jade.
Alexis frowned deeply at the grinning Alistair :"But how?! You clearly looked like you had given up on your monster!"
He scoffed smugly :"You'd be surprised at how much of a pro I am at baiting people. It's your fault for being so easy to fool. Now with my Malevolent Sin still on the field, you know what that means. Next turn, it's bye bye.
Oh, and by the way, since the battle still happened, my Malevolent Sin's effect gets activated, increasing his ATK to 3,000 and level to 10!"
Jade's eyes widened, realization hitting her :"Lv 10! That's it! That's what you're trying to do!"
While Alistair grinned, Syrus looked at her in confusion :"What's he gonna do? Why's the level becoming 10 important?"
He snickered :"You'll know, Syrus. You'll know."
Gritting her teeth, Alexis sighed :"Alright, I end my turn." Making the girls behind her anxious :"Oh, no... this is totally bad..."

"My turn!" He drew his card, but didn't pay much attention :"Now, without further ado, let's begin the final act! First off, I activate Malevolent Sin's effect to banish your Cyber Blader!"
As Malevolent Sin trapped Cyber Blader in his cobweb, covered in a cocoon of spider web, Alistair's grin widened :"Now how about we spice up this duel?!
Remember how I said I can fusion summon with only the needed monsters on the field? Well, when I have a Lv 10 or 11 DARK fusion monster on the field, I can use it as a fusion material to fusion summon this girl! Number 77: The Seven Sins, let the beat drop!"
As Malevolent Sin began to glow menacingly, he began to grow bigger and THICKER, before the black light enveloping it disappeared to reveal an even more sinister spider :"SHAAA!!!"

Except Jade, who was as smug as Alistair for some reason, all of their eyes widened :"4,000 ATK points?!"
Alistair's grin widened :"Which are all going to be blasted right into your face! Seven Sins, attack her directly and drop the curtains!"
With a screech, Seven Sins slashed at Alexis with her two front most legs and causing her to scream, again, much to Alistair's confusion :'Seriously, it's just a hologram.'

'Now this is what I call a reward!' He snickered internally, while Alexis held her body in pain. Looking at her, the girls behind her grew worried. Apparently, they at least had one redeeming quality.
Jasmine :"Alexis!"
Mindy :"Uh, what just happened?"
On the other boat though, the mood wasn't so down.
"Yeah!" Syrus smiled, hugging Alistair's side –shocking him a bit– as Jade shot up excitedly :"Oh, yeah, that's what I call a game! That was awesome, Al! Great job!"
As they high-fived, he raised his nose smugly :"Of course. Who do you think you're talking to?"
"Alright, you earned that smugness." Jade snickered, suddenly smacking his ass and making him jump. As he turned to frown, he saw Jade looking at her hand in amazement and mumbling :"Whoa… holy crap, it's soft..."
And something told him that wasn't going to be the last time that happened. Leading him to groan :"Oh, boy..." And for her to snicker mischievously.

As they closed the distances between the boats, Alistair crossed his arms :"Alright then, we're gonna honor the deal? I won, so you won't report what happened tonight."
Alexis leaned on her hip :"Ok, guys, I won't back out. We'll keep quiet about what happened tonight."
But Jasmine glared at them :"Well, if you ask me, I think we should turn all of them in right now!"
However, Alexis glared back at her :"Well, no one asked you!"
Alistair scoffed to himself :'The single best scene of the entire season 1. That's what you get, bitch.'
Jasmine was taken aback :"Alexis?"
Alexis :"Alistair beat me in the duel fair and square, and that's all there is to it."
Alistair smirked :"Glad at least you get reason."
Jade smiled :"Come on, Al, there's more to it than that!"
Alexis looked at her curiously :"Hm?"
Jade grinned :"You got game."
"Huh?" Alexis was taken aback by her friendliness, especially considering their interactions until now and even the duel that had them at the risk of getting expelled.
But not wanting to stay anymore, they all sat down as Alistair led them away :"Later."
