Chapter 29: fucking witches

"Are you  showing concern for me?" He inquired, rendering Tessa completely speechless.

She hadn't even realized she was overreacting and it made her question herself, why was she so bothered?

Sighing, she shook her head and went back to sleep. He was better off being neglected, after all, he only saw her as his mate in name alone. Since when did she even start worrying about a man?

"Richard's maids will tend to your needs, I hope you do not give them any problem." Elias relayed but received no response from Tessa so he defeatedly went back to sleep.

Upon waking up the following morning, they got dressed for the event Richard organized. Tessa grew increasingly uncomfortable since the event started as the hall was full of people she knew.

What amazed her was the fact they were all minding their business and greeted her respectfully. She was sure Richard was behind the act but she was grateful for it.
