With a Wave of the Hand, the Sky is in Control

In the world of One Piece, if there's one thing that's incredibly alluring, it's the Devil Fruits. Anyone who's read the manga would agree that Devil Fruits are the greatest treasures.

Devil Fruits are one of the unique features of the One Piece world. A single magical fruit can grant its user various incredible abilities.

Since Roy worked for the World Government, he naturally had access to the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia. Having spent years in the One Piece world, Roy had his own ideas about Devil Fruits.

In his mind, his most desired Devil Fruits were, first and foremost, the cool Logia and Mythical Zoan types, followed by the more common Paramecia and regular Zoan types.

However, in the vast One Piece world, the powerful Devil Fruits were either already consumed by others or had unknown whereabouts.

Now, with few years left before Luffy set sail, most powerful Devil Fruits already had their owners.

Thus, Roy's available options were limited. Today's discovery, however, was a tremendous surprise for Roy.

The Logia Devil Fruit that had been missing for over a hundred years, the Cloud-Cloud Fruit, was one of Roy's dream abilities.

Although the Dark-Dark Fruit was Roy's most coveted, the Cloud-Cloud Fruit, now in his possession, was an excellent choice in the absence of the Dark-Dark Fruit.

While Devil Fruit users were despised by the sea and had many weaknesses, Roy was confident he could develop the Cloud-Cloud Fruit's abilities to the point where he could ignore these weaknesses.

The most appealing aspect of the Cloud-Cloud Fruit to Roy was its ability to control any cloud.

In the One Piece world, there are various unique terrains, and the sky-sea clouds containing Seastone factors above Jaya Island were Roy's greatest motivation for eating the Cloud-Cloud Fruit.

It was well known that Devil Fruit users' weaknesses included the sea and Seastone. However, with the Cloud-Cloud Fruit, Roy could manipulate the sky-sea clouds to counter other Devil Fruit users.

Moreover, the floating Sky Islands had always been on Roy's radar. An aerial base and kingdom would be the ideal place for Roy to establish his forces.

After all, what place could be more private and convenient than the sky?

The Cloud-Cloud Fruit was one of Roy's dream Devil Fruits. Its abilities included turning into clouds, flying, and even manipulating weather.

The combination of these diverse future developments with Roy's inherited sound ability meant that he could explore the One Piece world's ever-changing weather.

The synergy between the sound and Cloud-Cloud Fruit abilities promised a limitless future.

"Tsk, tsk!"

Roy smacked his lips. The white, cloud-like fruit didn't have much taste since he swallowed it too quickly.

Not savoring one of the One Piece world's unique features was either fortunate or disappointing.

Roy could have eaten just a bite of the Devil Fruit, but he was too excited and swallowed it whole.

The Cloud-Cloud Fruit was now entirely consumed. Fortunately, the One Piece world's constitution was different from his previous life.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for a human to swallow a fruit the size of a peach.

"Lord Roy, how are you?"

Blueno, watching Roy's gulping action, was also a bit stunned. It was just a Devil Fruit, right? With Roy's current strength and position, acquiring one wasn't too difficult.

Yet, he had swallowed it so unceremoniously, which made Blueno curious about the fruit that had caused such a reaction from the usually composed Roy.

"Cough, it's nothing. I'm fine. I just ate in a hurry."

Roy touched his stomach. As he was about to explain to Blueno, a surging sensation welled up in him. The Devil Fruit's power had emerged.

It was well known that anyone who consumed a Devil Fruit would immediately understand their abilities.

As Roy raised his hand, a large cloud began to form around him. His arm started to turn into a white cloud. Clearly, Roy had become a cloud person after consuming the Cloud-Cloud Fruit.

"Is this... elementization?"

Seeing his superior's transformation, Blueno understood why Roy had been so anxious. A Logia-type Devil Fruit could easily place one at the world's pinnacle.

The Navy's three great Admirals were all Logia-type users, so Bruno understood Roy's urgency. Even he wouldn't remain calm in such a situation.

Devil Fruits were graded, and Logia-types were the top-tier treasures. Watching Roy's free-form transformation, Blueno felt a tinge of envy.

Considering Roy's already formidable strength and the addition of this powerful fruit, Bruno suspected that CP9 would soon have a new leader.

The World Government would surely deploy such a powerful asset appropriately.

While Blueno pondered, Roy was having a blast. Floating in the cave, clouds continuously changed shapes around him.

When the clouds thickened above him, rain started to fall in the narrow cave. The Cloud-Cloud Fruit's abilities went far beyond this. It could manipulate cloud seas, cloud islands, and even the weather.

Anything related to clouds could be directly or indirectly controlled by Roy.

Unsurprisingly, this ability would become a significant asset for Roy. He could fly, control clouds, and influence the weather.

The Cloud-Cloud Fruit's power was the foundation for Roy's future rise and with it, he would become the uncrowned king of the sky.
