Chapter 3: Hatched
Two months. That's the amount of time left until the Entrance Exam. It was after school when Kyle was in his room like always. Currently, he was staring down with sweat dripping down his neck, as he looked at the cracks starting to form on the Egg.
"Come on.. Nothing at all for a month and now all of a sudden?!" Kyle yelled at the egg.
The egg wasn't just cracking. It was shaking slightly as he could feel something rapidly moving inside it. The cracks were getting larger and parts of the egg started to come off when suddenly, something leaped out shattering the egg into pieces.
"What the fuck..!?" Kyle was caught off guard.
He didn't even see what had came out. As he looked frantically around his room, he couldn't find whatever it was. This was until he noticed a pair of small eyes under his bed. It was staring at him, closely observing every little small movement he made.
"…Hey.. Are you afraid of me..?" Kyle lowered his tone, trying his best to calm the creature down.
The room was quiet with nothing moving except the clock hand as it ticked rhythmically. Kyle was staring back at it cautiously, but it was long until he felt a similar familiarity. He knew exactly the type of eyes it was giving him, because he had the same ones.
Fear, curiosity, or even out of boredom… Kyle had always been someone who prefers staying out of the spotlight and watching the world around him. How people talked, acted, reacted; he would observe people around him, as if an alien pretending to be human.
"…Analyzing my data…I guess it's kinda legit." Kyle mutters as he got closer to his bed where the creature was under.
The creature was hiding but it wasn't afraid. As Kyle got closer with his head now under the bed as well, the creature was just staring back as if it also felt a similar resemblance.
"You can stop observing, because I'll just tell you everything about me." Kyle reached his hand out, and it actually reacted positively as it leaned on his palm, letting itself be grabbed.
After getting it out from under the bed, he could finally see it in the light. It was a white ball of fur, the size of a tennis ball, with brownish tips on it's ears and a swirly white tail behind it.
Kyle grabbed his phone with his other hand and checked the Digi-App to see if anything changed and sure enough.

"Pafumon huh? Tamers usually give their partner it's own name so… How about Maria? That was my mom's name. I don't remember her much but I think she was a sweet person?"
Pafumon vigorously shook it's head hearing that name. It had a little irrated face like it was trying to tell Kyle something.
"What. No? Okay… Then how about Lily?" Pafumon shook it's head. "Ami?" Pafumon shook it's head. "Ashley?" Pafumon shook it's head. "Jennie?" Pafumon shook it's head. "Lisa?" Pafumon shook it's head...….This went on for half an hour.
"What the hell! Why are you so picky? Did you get that from me? Am I picky?" Kyle got tired as just set the Pafumon on his desk.
He then grabbed a White Claw, and started drinking it while relaxed on his chair. As he looked over at the Pafumon, he noticed that it was still annoyed at him, constantly shaking around in the air, trying to tell him something. And for some reason, Kyle had a random thought just now click in his head.
"…Wait, are you a guy?" Kyle asked, to which the Pafumon's face instantly changed to a joyful expression as it repeatedly nodded up and down.
"Ah… Well that make sense now. Maybe I just assume any animal that looks cute is a girl." The Pafumon looked offended that he called it cute, as it sucked in air and blew it at his face.
"Arghh..! Damn, that was actually a pretty strong gust. Almost made me fall off the chair." Kyle looked at the angered Digimon, surprised at it's strength. He went to check if he spilled his drink and smiled.
"Okay fine. I'll admit you're more tough than cute. How about a name like Claw then?" Kyle smirked at the Pafumon. It actually seemed to like the name as well, giving Kyle a satisfied smile.
"Nice to meet you, Claw."
