Assessment in a Dream!
It didn't take long, soon, all the lower grade students had left.
The playground was filled with only senior mutants who were about to graduate.
All eyes trained on Lynn.
"What's going on? Why did the principal suddenly ask us to gather?"
"Recruitment? What recruitment?"
"Could it be the selection of X-Men?"
"Can we join the X-Men and do missions like the teachers?"
"If that's the case...why is Lynn the one choosing?"
"Where are the teachers?"
As they whispered among themselves, a thunderclap suddenly sounded in the sky.
A figure dressed in black with white hair appeared, riding a gust of wind.
In an instant, she had landed in front of everyone.
"Teacher Ororo!" the students exclaimed.
Many eyes filled with envy and reverence. After all, this was Storm.
After she landed, she gave Lynn a curious look, before addressing the crowd.
"This is not the selection of the X-Men. Lynn is going on a secret mission, and the principal asked him to select a few teammates from among you."
"Secret mission?"
Everyone was stunned at first, but then quickly became excited.
In their view, being able to carry out a mission assigned by Professor X would definitely be a big bonus when the X-Men actually start selection in the future.
Even, John's eyes showed excited.
"Lynn, pick me!"
"And me!"
Some students looked at Lynn eagerly, recommending themselves on the spot.
Lynn smiled slightly. These people can be regarded as nodding acquaintances, not as close as Kitty and Jubilee, but familiar faces nonetheless. However, Lynn knew better than to pick based on familiarity.
Successful teams require reliable members, so he prioritized character, intelligence, and obedience over sheer power. For example, John was excluded from the start.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Lynn surveyed the crowd and calmly said, "Except for Kitty and Jubilee, those who received a B rating in last night's dream exam, please step forward. Everyone else is dismissed."
"How do you know I dreamed about an exam last night?"
"How did you know..."
The same question was on several faces before they realized something and fell silent.
"Did you have the dream too?"
"Did you take the exam too?"
"What was your test about?"
"I don't remember clearly, something about end-of-the-world survival!"
"Humans had wiped mutants using a new weapon, forcing the few remaining survivors into hiding. We were the last soldiers in our secret base, being tested by the instructor?"
"The assessment was to leave the base, surrounded by enemies, and struggle to survive?!"
"Wow!"
"Damn it!!!"
As voices overlapped, everyone realized they had the same dream last night, differing only in their assessment results.
"Assessment in a dream?!"
Storm was equally shocked, looking at Lynn, her eyes filled with disbelief.
Although the professor had mentioned Lynn's hidden abilities, she never imagined he could control the dreams of more than thirty mutants simultaneously!
Regardless of the strength of the ability! This was right under Charles' nose as well!
Storm knew, at least before this morning, that Charles hadn't shown any particular interest in Lynn, indicating he was also unaware of last night's events.

They quickly focused, and turned their attention to Storm.
"According to Lynn, those with a B rating or above, step forward!"
They exchanged puzzled glances, but still stepped forward one by one.
'Iceman' Bobby, 'Colossus' Peter, 'Sunspot' Roberto…
The 'mimic' Carl, the 'shapeshifter' Kevin...
Lucas Bishop, who can absorb energy, and Petra, who can manipulate earth and rock...
There are seven in total!
All future X-Men, all the elite of mutants!
This was actually no surprise. While Professor X is a saint, he still believed in elite education. Among the students rescued by him, most at Xavier's School had potential. None were weak Epsilon-class mutants with major flaws.
Those mutants usually followed Magneto.
From this perspective, Xavier's School is indeed full of talent.
"Bobby, Peter..."
Storm watched Iceman and Colossus step forward with a smile on her face, though that quickly morphed into one of anxiousness.
She quickly looked at Lynn: "Lynn, you can't take all seven of them!"
What a joke!
She knew the X-Men also needed new members. If the seven most outstanding students were taken away by Lynn, what would they do then?
She had a feeling that if these people left, they might not be able to come back!
"Don't worry, Teacher Ororo, I know what I'm doing."
Lynn smiled, and looked at Colossus and the others. "I never like to force anyone. Whether you accept this mission is entirely up to you. If you want to join, go back to the dorms and pack your things. If not, you can leave now."
