Chapter 10: Volume 1 "The Beginning of Extraordinary": End
It's only been four days and I can't believe this book has 50 collections from all over the world. Thank you so much to everyone who has For people who don't speak English, I sincerely hope that everything translates well for you. If it doesn't, I'll drop a link to a google doc so people can translate through ChatGPT or something. I'm also adding more info and all that to Background Chapter, so for the people who haven't read Battle Through The Heavens or Doupo, please check it out. I'm not good at subtly introducing information, but I'm trying to get better at it.
Obviously, this was a short volume and it was a lot of time skips. I wanted to lay the foundation for Fa Ma's goals and dreams as well as the techniques he was using. I debated doing a different attribute other than fire and a trace of wood, but only alchemists could really mobilize the resources for rapid advancement. If I started in a different region, maybe I could have done something different but first book so I wanted to stick with the Northwest continent.
From now on, I'm going to really drive into a plot as the book would finish way too fast if it was just Fa Ma practicing. Expect more characters (peers) interacting with Fa Ma and actual antagonists (not Luo and Feng) as the fight for resources is never an easy thing. Also, less old men wanting to give his granddaughters to him.
