Chapter 111: Answer Me!

THE instant Stella sighted him, she snapped awake and rushed towards him, panic flaming in her eyes. "Valeric! Are you okay? When did you wake up? Your cut…" she paused, searching for the wound that was clearly on his neck before she went to sleep.

It should have taken at least two or three days before such a deep wound would heal, but...it was gone without a trace as if she'd hallucinated or merely dreamt it.  

"Valeric… Your wound is gone."  

"I healed," he said. 

"That fast?" Unbelievable. She breathed and lowered her gaze to the floor, her hands growing into fists. "Hey, what made you do that?"  

Silence. 

No response. And what she did next was slam a knee kick into his stomach, her fist punching his chest and knocking the wind out of his lungs.
