VALERIC didn't stop. 

"Valeric—" 

"You always look at me with an expression of disgust, masking the fact that you enjoyed it and hoped that I would do it again. I didn't really get it the first time or the second time, and it did take me a while to form it completely in my head. But here we are." He leaned closer, staring deep into her soul. 

Stella's hand balled into fists, and she dug her finger deeper into his skin, drawing blood. "So?" 

"So?" 

"So what if I do enjoy it? It's your fault! Are you going to gloat about it?" 

"Maybe I should, little wife. It was difficult, after all, and I didn't think I could ever have an effect on someone who once hated me. What is not gloatworthy about it?" 

"Fuck you! Don't ever kiss me again!"  

"Are you sure about that?" 

"What do you think?" 

"Be careful, wife. You might regret that later."
