Something was happening right under her nose, and she could smell it, however, it'd been difficult to find out no matter how hard she tried. 

Not Nix or any of them was willing to tell her. Not even their father.

Nix was dropped off right in front of his manor, and Diego stepped down, following him even though neither of them were speaking to each other. "I'll come with him tomorrow," he said to Valeric, who gave a nod in response.
