Chapter 178: Lure

The midday sun beat down on Syux Academy like an overzealous dominatrix, but Melisa couldn't feel the heat.

No, she was too busy fuming. Her internal temperature was probably hot enough to fry an egg on her forehead.

[Really? Really!?!?] 

Melisa paced back and forth in the gazebo. Armia and Isabella watched her from nearby, their heads moving back and forth like they were at a particularly aggressive tennis match.

"Did you see that smug bitch's face?" Melisa exploded. "Oh, 'I want to have Melisa as my partner', yeah, right. As if it isn't obvious that she's just trying to make my life more annoying!" 

Isabella, sprawled across a bench like a cat, with one hand lifting up her head, raised a brow. 

"You know, most people would kill to have a literal princess give them that kind of attention."

Melisa whirled on her, eyes blazing.
