Chapter 85: Stephanie

Claire chose to get some work done and clear her mind by going to the office. Getting busy with her work tasks, she hoped, would take her mind off of the problems in her personal life for a while.

As she walked into the building, she felt a knot of worry in her stomach because she knew it would be awkward to face her coworkers, especially since there were rumours and news going around.

When she was on her way to her desk, she heard something that stopped her in her tracks. Two coworkers were talking behind each other about a recent news story about Joshua and a woman. Claire's heart sank as she heard bits and pieces of their talk.

"...did you see the pictures? "They looked really good together," one of them said.

"Yeah, the news is full of it." The other person answered, "I wonder what's going on."
