Chapter 2 – Fate is Inevitable…

Ley Kagenou POV

The sunlight invaded the interior of my cabin, waking me up. I stretched lazily in bed, yawning. "I spent all of yesterday training to understand what I can and cannot do with these new abilities," I remembered, as I rose from the bed, still wearing the pajamas I had created with the spell <Create Greater Item> the night before.

I walked sleepily to the bathroom to wash my face and take a refreshing cold shower. After the shower, I donned a robe and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. The ingredients, like the pajamas and the cabin, were created with the same spell: a typical American breakfast, with slices of fried bacon, a fried egg, and a glass of fresh milk.

Even though I had managed to activate the abilities of Immunity and Resistances, I still enjoyed the pleasure of eating. Sitting at the small table, meant for four, I began to savor my breakfast.

"What should I do today?" I asked myself, almost inadvertently. I could continue testing spells and items from the 41 Supremes, but beyond that, perhaps I should explore the city of this world full of fanservice. I just hope not to encounter the typical clichés of Ecchi anime. If that happens, I am ready to erase this city from the map, making it as if it never existed, even if it means using one of the wishes from {Shooting Star} to alter reality.

Third Person POV

Ley, dressed in an elegant black business suit with a red tie, strolled through the streets of the small town of Kuoh. He observed everything with a mix of curiosity and disdain. "It doesn't look different from a normal Japanese town," he thought. The suit, clearly woven with supreme skill, was another product of the creation spell. "But the looks... they are disturbing. In my past life, I got used to the attention for being an actor, but now, in this life, with these powers and abilities, feeling the unbridled lust of the women and the envy of the men... it's unbearable," reflected Ley, adopting the posture of a tyrant, with a serene smile, yet laden with arrogance.

With his hands in his pockets, he walked the streets, memorizing every corner and every point of interest—especially those relevant to the story of DxD—with the intention of avoiding them. What he most desired was the tranquility he did not have in his previous life, despite all the fame and fortune.

As he passed by a café that looked luxurious yet understated, Ley decided to enter after having already spent about four hours exploring the city. As soon as he entered the establishment, he immediately became the focus of attention, especially from the women present: the waitress and two customers near the entrance. "This is too much," he thought, feeling as though he had inadvertently activated an ability worthy of an eroge protagonist. "I don't need this hassle." With that thought, he headed to a more secluded table at the back of the café.

Ley was determined to remain discreet and avoid unnecessary complications. He simply wanted to live quietly, away from the spotlight and the plots of an Ecchi anime and fanservice world.

"What would you like, sir?" the timid, feminine voice of the waitress interrupted Ley's thoughts, drawing his attention. He raised his eyes to her, maintaining a serene smile, yet laden with almost palpable arrogance. "Kukuku, what do you recommend?" he inquired, staying true to his role as a tyrant. Internally, he questioned, "I'm not that old, right? I hope it's just a formality of the place to treat customers with such respect." He observed the waitress, who now displayed a crimson blush on her cheeks. "I, ah, I... recommend the lemon pie and a black coffee!" she said, nervously, before finally managing to express her recommendation with more confidence.

"What a cliché crap!" Ley shouted in his mind, though he maintained a serene expression. "Kuku, then that will be it," he responded in perfect Japanese, internally grateful for the travels he had made as an actor, which had led him to learn several languages, including Japanese, English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. The waitress nodded and scurried towards the counter, nearly tripping over her own feet. "This is ridiculous. Is this whole world loaded with fanservice and Ecchi clichés?" Ley questioned himself, frustrated, as he involuntarily glimpsed the white panties of the waitress during her stumble.

Ley shook his head, trying to push away these thoughts. He was determined to stay away from the more frivolous and superficial aspects of this new world. Yet, reality seemed intent on dragging him into situations typical of an Ecchi anime. Despite this, Ley was resolved to maintain his focus, exploring his abilities and living a quiet life in that forest.

Ley Kagenou POV

Sitting in the café, while waiting for my order, I closed my eyes, focusing on discreetly controlling my MP. Possessing nearly infinite Mana, it was essential to mask it with the spell <False Data: Mana> to avoid drawing unwanted attention from magical sensors, even with the {Ring of Aura Concealment}; it was better to be cautious. I did not want to attract seductive demons or other dangerous entities to my presence.

I reflected on my situation in this world. Staying secluded in my cabin in the woods seemed the best option. I needed nothing more, desiring only peace and tranquility. My thoughts were interrupted by the footsteps of the waitress, who approached with a tray. On it, a slice of lemon pie and a cup of strong coffee, whose aromas filled my nostrils.

"Here you are, s-s-sir," stammered the waitress, her cheeks tinted red. Internally, I was exasperated with this absurd situation. Without taking my eyes off the pie and coffee, I coldly said, maintaining my tyrant's posture: "You may leave now." Her reaction was immediate; she stiffened, blushed even more, and stammered a confused "Y-ye-yes," before quickly moving away.

"What the hell?!" I couldn't help but question myself, noticing her exaggerated reaction. Utilizing the abilities of Luci★Fer, one of the Supremes and a malevolent karma angel, I quickly understood what was happening. "Masochist! Damn it!" I shouted in my mind upon realizing the growing lust in the waitress. It was evident that my presence was affecting people in strange ways, something I needed to learn to control, or at least understand better, to avoid more embarrassing and unwanted situations like this one.

Sighing deeply, I knew I had Luci★Fer's <<Lust Aura>> ability, but it was deactivated. This meant that the waitress was an extreme masochist, whose excitement was triggered merely by my rudeness. It was an uncomfortable situation, to say the least. I tried to distract myself by savoring a piece of the lemon pie. "Delicious," I murmured quietly. It wasn't as good as the food I had made myself, but it was still very tasty.

Taking a sip of the black coffee, I appreciated its somewhat bitter flavor. It was a moment of relaxation and appreciation of life, until a concern hit me: how would I pay for this?

I was accustomed to my wealth on Earth, where I was a famous actor, but here, in this world, I was a stranger without financial resources. "Damn, damn, damn, what do I do now?!" I thought in panic. Calm down, there's a simple solution. I concentrated, placing my right hand in my pocket and imagining a 10,000 yen note. "<Create Greater Item>," I whispered. The magic acted discreetly in my pocket, and the banknote materialized, making me sigh with relief.

"I need a job, at least for a month or a few weeks," I reflected, before considering another option. "Or maybe I could steal from robbers. After all, 'it takes a thief to catch a thief'." It was important to find a stable source of income, as I didn't want to use magic to create money and risk causing inflation.

After finishing my meal, I stood up and walked to the counter, where the waitress seemed to have regained some of her composure, until she saw me and blushed again. Internally, I sighed, maintaining the facade of a tyrant and sharpening my gaze, which made her tremble. "That will be 3,500 yen, s-sir," she said, surprisingly nervous. Wait, 3,500 yen? Almost 25 euros for a slice of pie and a coffee? Indeed, this was a luxurious café.

Without showing surprise, I took out the 10,000 yen note from the inner pocket of the suit, which I had created earlier, and handed it to her, maintaining my arrogant posture. The waitress, with a silly smile, took the note and started fiddling with the cash register. Suddenly, an unpleasant smell hit me. It was coming from her. "Better not to know what that is!!" I screamed in my mind, quickly grabbing the change and hastily leaving the café to leave behind that bizarre situation.

As I stepped out, I noticed that the sky was already tinged with orange hues, signaling the end of the day. I smiled and walked to a deserted alley, making sure no one was around. "<Greater Teleportation>!" I whispered. In an instant, I was enveloped in a blue glow and disappeared, reappearing in front of my cabin.

I smiled serenely as I entered and began to prepare dinner. The tranquility of my cabin in the woods was a welcome relief after a day filled with unusual and uncomfortable situations. While cooking, I reflected on what I had learned and experienced that day, pondering the next steps in this new life and in this strange, crappy world.

Third Person POV

Ley, on another day of his new life, was behind his cabin, practicing fencing with the sword from his platinum armor, {Compliance with Law}. He used the spell <Perfect Warrior> to enhance his skills, aiming to one day no longer depend on it, since, although it increased his combat knowledge, the spell reduced his brute power which was useful for learning to restrain himself.

Focused on his training, Ley abruptly stopped when he noticed a change in the sky. It had turned red, a sign of a magical barrier being erected. "A magical barrier...", he murmured, recognizing the phenomenon that repelled ordinary humans. Dematerializing his sword, he reflected: "It seems today is the day Issei is killed and reincarnated by Rias." An arrogant smile appeared on his face, and he activated <Perfect Unknowable>, determined to observe the events closely, harboring disdain for the protagonist of DxD.

Upon arriving at the city park's center, Ley spotted Issei facing a fallen angel, dressed provocatively. "How ridiculous! She looks like a dominatrix... this world gets worse by the minute," he thought, observing the woman dressed in scanty attire. Soon, he saw the fallen angel create a spear of light and launch it at Issei, striking him in the chest before disappearing, leaving only a bloody hole. "Well, I know he's going to be reincarnated, but still...", Ley reflected, watching the fallen angel flee toward the woods where he resided.

With a cunning smile, Ley equipped Touch-Me's armor and leaped, appearing above the fallen angel. She only sensed Ley's presence when the spell <Perfect Unknowable> was deactivated, surprising her with the holy energy that burst upon her. As she turned around, all she saw was Ley's boot-clad foot from his platinum armor striking her face. Both fell to the ground, with Ley on top of the fallen angel, his foot pressed against her face. The fallen angel, Raynare, looked up at Ley, her expression flickering between fury, fear, and despair, feeling the blood trickle from her neck into a small crater formed upon impact.

While holding Raynare under his control, Ley, with his arrogant and dominant voice echoing through the platinum helm, questioned: "What is a fallen doing in demonic territory?" Raynare's response was laden with anger: "Can I ask the same, dog of the church?"

"Dog of the Church?" Ley replied with disdain, activating the ability <<Holy Aura I>>. The divine holy energy emanating from his armor flooded Raynare with fear, making her feel as if she were in the presence of a vast dragon. "I'm just a retired paladin, but I cannot ignore a fallen killing a human before my eyes," declared Ley, maintaining his tyrannical facade.

"Please..." pleaded Raynare, dominated by fear. She did not want to die; she had plans to gain recognition from her leader, plans that were now threatened by the presence of this 'retired' paladin.

"Listen, fallen one, I'll give you a chance, but not without punishment," said Ley. Raynare, moved and at the same time terrified, listened to the declaration. "<Grasp Heart>!" Upon hearing the invocation from the paladin, Raynare saw, through the eye not obstructed by the metal boot, a translucent heart. She felt something touch her own heart as Ley squeezed the ethereal representation, making her scream in pain. "I hold your heart in my hand. Any infraction against humans near me, and you know what will happen," threatened Ley, caressing the translucent heart before making it disappear and removing his foot from Raynare's head.

"Leave!" Ley commanded with absolute authority. Raynare flew away at superhuman speeds, completely disregarding the blood streaming from her head.

"<Greater Teleportation>," murmured Ley. In an instant, he disappeared, reappearing in the bedroom of his cabin. The platinum armor dissipated into blue particles, leaving him alone with his thoughts. Before lying down to sleep, he thought for a few moments about what he had done and smiled; a brilliant plan formed in his mind. He then deactivated <<Sleep Immunity>> and finally fell asleep.
