Chapter 2: The boy on the skateboard
JESSE JESSE JESSE, my mom called my name to wake me up, and to be honest I was not happy because according to me this house and the entire town suck, I stretched my body and yawned loudly, the bed creaked slightly from my weight.
"Yes, Mom, I'm coming" I called out as I sluggishly got down from bed, went to the bathroom, washed up, and got ready for the day. I went downstairs, ate my breakfast of scratched eggs and pancakes with maple syrup and now I'm fully ready for a brand-new day.
I went outside to look around for the first time, it was painted white and grey, I thought it was only painted white but if you look closer you will see the grey painted along with the white, flowers in red and purple were planted at the front of the house, I don't know the name of the flowers but they look beautiful although some have started withering due to lack of care, I believe the former residents planted them.
I hate to admit it, this house is really more beautiful and bigger than our previous house.
I was walking around the house, I was busy admiring the view of the house when I saw a man coming to our house and went to meet him. He introduced himself as Mr. Zachary, he looked 5 '8, kind of average for a man, had brown hair with blue eyes, got a bit of stomach fat poking out from the fly of his shirt, he was holding a handkerchief in his left hand.
He said he was our neighbour and he looked friendly so I let him into the house and stood behind him like a bodyguard watching him like a hawk. Immediately my mom saw him. She greeted and they exchanged pleasantries like two mature adults and blah blah.
These whole greetings were kind of boring, I got disinterested in their conversation, so I excused myself and returned outside to continue looking at my surroundings. I was curious about my new street, so I started walking. The street was calm and very quiet unlike our bubbling street in Crenshaw. I was enjoying the breeze that was blowing through my hair.
Suddenly, this skateboard dashed into me and I became so furious, I looked up to shout at the stupid skateboard when I saw this boy with the sexiest eyes I had ever seen, he was taller than me, he had a mane of hair on his head and have the sexiest eyes, he wore a yellow basketball jersey.
I really wanted to shout at him but I found myself smiling and talking nicely. If I do not know better, I would say I was flirting but I know I am not, I was only just smiling like a fool. Jeez! he looks really nice, he told me his name is Ryan Collins and he is sorry.
My brain immediately stored his name in its memory, I wouldn't be able to forget such a remarkable person that soon, I believe it is called crush at first sight but I am not a strong believer in such nonsense, I should have told him my name but no I started blushing and the worst thing I did was blurting out that he was handsome, I must be crazy.
I ran home without looking back, God I am such a fool, I am literally dying of emba
rrassment!
