Chapter 2: Tesseract and Beyond
Rizal stared at the images transmitted by the drone with a mix of awe and dread. The four-dimensional geometry he had only seen in computer simulations was now vividly displayed before him. The tesseract, a four-dimensional analog of a three-dimensional cube, rotated and flipped, casting ever-changing three-dimensional shadows.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Professor Indri's voice was soft. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, gleaming like a child's who had just discovered a new toy.
"But... confusing," replied Rizal. "I... I'm not sure I understand what I'm seeing."
"It's natural, Rizal," Professor Indri patted his shoulder. "Our brains evolved to understand a three-dimensional world. Seeing a four-dimensional world directly is like asking a blind person to imagine color."
Suddenly, a loud alarm shattered the lab's silence. The data from the drone started to scramble, and its signal weakened rapidly.
"The signal is weakening!" shouted Rizal. "The drone... it seems..."
Before Rizal could finish, the image on the monitor vanished, replaced by static. The drone had lost contact.
"What happened?" Professor Indri approached, her face tense.
Rizal frantically checked the data. "I don't know... the energy... it's unstable!"
At the same time, Prototype 01 began to shake violently. The strange waves grew stronger, uncontrollable. The laboratory was bathed in blinding white light. Rizal and Professor Indri were caught in an unexpected vortex of energy.
