Chapter 6: Am I Going to Become a Sensei?
In the morning, a light fog suddenly descended, enveloping the Hidden Leaf Village, which was barely fifty years old, making it seem like forty-nine, without a hint of vitality.
"Ah~!"
After washing up, Tobio Uchiha pushed open the door of his house and stepped out. He looked at the thick fog around him and murmured, "Right now, it would be great to have some grilled fish covered in chili, wouldn't it?"
Turning back to the house, he saw that the fat orange cat was still sleeping. Tobio frowned slightly, snapped his fingers, and two familiar buckets of honey mustard-flavored chicken appeared. He placed one on the table and, holding the other, left the house.
Today was the day of the monthly clan meeting. Since he had decided not to defect, he would attend the meeting and listen to their plans for changing the clan's destiny.
There were barely any people on the streets in the morning, and the sound of Tobio eating echoed along the street.
When he arrived at the sanctuary, several elders were already gathered there.
"Hmph!"
Hearing footsteps in the distance, Uchiha Mado saw that it was Tobio arriving. Mado snorted and turned his head, looking away.
"Hey, hey, Elder Mado, haven't you gotten over yesterday?"
"Shut up, I don't want to talk to you."
"Have something to eat, elders need to eat meat in the morning to stay healthy."
"Take it away, I don't eat such greasy things in the morning."
"Greasy??"
Looking at the bucket of chicken in his hand, Tobio frowned and said seriously, "Do you know who we are? We are the Uchiha. The elders of other clans need to take care of themselves and eat light food because they don't digest well. Don't put our clan in the same category as the others. Besides, I heard that Madara's grandfather, even though he was over seventy years old, ate five pounds of fried meat for breakfast and lived until the founding of the village."
Mado frowned as he saw Tobio raising five fingers.
It's true. Some people have excellent constitutions; even at an advanced age, they can smoke two packs a day, drink a pound of alcohol, and eat ten pounds of meat in a day. But I can't.
Bang!
At that moment, Tobio used a summoning technique to bring a pile of greasy food, distributing it among the elders present.
When Mado thought everyone would refuse the food, he saw the white-haired elders eating large bites without hesitation.
Damn it, yesterday they told me to eat vegetable porridge with pickles to take care of myself, and today they're eating this.
You old folks won't live to see a Uchiha become the Fifth Hokage.
After taking several deep breaths, Mado felt a spark of competitiveness within himself. Looking at the greasy chicken wings, he said through gritted teeth, "Give me two buckets."
When Fugaku arrived at the Naka shrine just in time for the meeting, the smell of fried chicken filled the air. He looked at the clan members with greasy mouths and kindly suggested, "Gentlemen, we're not in times of war, there's no need to eat this for breakfast."
"Hmph!"
Uchiha Mado snorted. Although he felt a little dizzy, he kept his composure and said, "The Uchiha clan is the strongest in the Leaf, our stomachs are made of iron. Madara's grandfather ate twenty pounds of meat in one meal; this is just an appetizer for us in the morning. Hic!"
A burp resonated from Mado, and Fugaku, smelling the strong aroma of fried chicken, blinked and warned, "Elder Mado, don't refer to the traitor as 'sir' in public."
"I know."
Saying this, Mado, with his swollen stomach, made his way to his seat.
At that moment, the hall of the Naka shrine had four rows of tables arranged from east to west. The row farthest south had the most tables, while the row farthest north had only one table.
Seeing the new arrangement, Tobio was puzzled.
There used to be only two rows; the older ones sat in front.
Why are there four rows now?
However, the other clan members seemed to know the new arrangement, quickly finding their seats and leaving only one empty seat at the end for Tobio.
Sitting down, confused, Tobio saw Fugaku very close and pulled a nearby elder, asking in a low voice, "Why am I here?"
"Oh!"
The elder wiped the grease from his mouth and said casually, "Kid, you missed my performance last time. After the last internal battle, the elder arranged the tables like this to make the factions clear. The row with the most people at the end is the belligerent faction, the second largest is the competitive faction, my row is the peaceful faction, and you..."
He looked at Tobio and wrote a few words on the table with water from his cup: Divorce Faction.
Tobio's face darkened. Looking at the elder, he gritted his teeth and asked, "Does he have something against me?"
"Did you know the elder has something against you? Since you insisted on learning medical techniques, he hasn't liked you. And when you suggested the political marriage yesterday, he disliked you even more. How about we propose you as the elder? Are you interested in becoming one?"
"Silence!"
Hearing the murmurs, Fugaku raised his hands to call for silence. He looked at those present and stopped at Tobio, speaking in a serious voice, "Tobio Uchiha, the Fourth Hokage has ordered you to take charge of three newly graduated students. Later, you will enter the ANBU under the direct command of the Hokage. I hope you can be a bridge between the village and the clan."
"Am I going to be a sensei?"
Tobio pointed at himself incredulously, looking at his clan leader.
Did someone really want an Uchiha to be a sensei? What was the Hokage thinking?
Fugaku nodded and then named two others for the ANBU, continuing, "The Fourth Hokage wants to repair relations with the clan. As a leader, I must also show goodwill. Soon I will send Itachi to the ninja academy so that, upon graduation, he will be a student of the Fourth Hokage."
"Mmm~!"
The clan members nodded, all in agreement.
Minato Namikaze's skill was undeniable, and having Itachi as his student was good news; besides, he was the leader's son, so they couldn't object.
The important thing was that being a student of the Hokage gave them a chance to reach the position of Hokage.
Many elders looked at Tobio with amusement.
Although clan meetings were for open discussion, some things remained in memory, like suggesting that the leader divorce.
"Ahem~!"
Tobio coughed softly, looking at the elder, and said in a neutral tone, "Elder, I want to propose a marriage. The bride is a friend's Hyuga grandmother. For the honor of the clan, I hope you won't refuse."
Shu! Shu! Shu!
Suddenly, a barrage of black kunai flew towards Tobio, controlled by a force directing them at him.
The kunai covered the sky, forming a giant funnel over Tobio.
"Damn elder!"
Tobio looked up at the kunai. He raised his right hand, revealing a strong and white arm.
A red orb appeared in his palm, emitting a bright light and intense heat, instantly evaporating the water in the area.
At that moment, Tobio seemed like a god holding a sun.
Fire Style: Blazing Sun
It was his own technique, created by combining his fire chakra with the Rasengan, similar to the Lava Rasenshuriken. It had great destructive power and didn't require hand seals.
"Gulp!"
The Uchiha around swallowed hard at the violent and bright sun of fire. This technique was always impressive.
Was it necessary?
Looking at the melted kunai, Tobio dispersed the orb, pushing the molten iron away from the table and taking out paper and pen to record:
"Year 51 of Konoha, February 2, after Tobio Uchiha became a ninja, the elder of the Uchiha clan repeatedly challenged him. After Tobio Uchiha underwent hard training and difficult battles, he finally defeated the Great Elder on February 27."
"Justice is once again on the side of Victory."
Looking at the Great Elder who was snorting, he waved the book in his hand and said casually:
"Elder, don't forget the rules you set. One person can only make one move. If you break it, it won't favor the unity of the clan."
"Huh"
The elder looked at Tobio Uchiha's face and took several deep breaths before suppressing the urge to attack again. He had very complicated emotions towards this boy; he loved and hated him.
It takes more than 10 years or decades for the clan to produce a genius. However, this bastard went to study medical ninjutsu before going to the ninja school. When he was in school, he tinkered with scientific experiments. But after graduating from ninja school, this guy abandoned medical ninjutsu. After staring at Tobio Uchiha for a while, the Elder slammed the table and looked away.
He hates geniuses and hates geniuses who waste time not training. Even more so, this bastard is still presenting me with a wife. Humph!
