Shishou appeared beside Mikoto, holding her in his arms and inhaling her scent with a look of contentment.
The soft and fragrant embrace was indeed intoxicating.
Shishou had purchased a plot of land and a house in Fire Source City to settle Uchiha Mikoto and the remaining Uchiha clan orphans.

With Uchiha Izumi and a dozen other children, as well as a group of servants including Zhuhui around, Shishou felt it inappropriate to do anything more with Mikoto. After giving a few instructions, he used the Flying Thunder God technique to return to Konoha.
Back in his bedroom in Konoha, Shishou collapsed into bed and fell asleep immediately.
Using the Flying Thunder God technique repeatedly had left him utterly exhausted.

Uchiha Izumi led a group of children standing at a distance.

He used his phosphorus-decomposition insects to devour a giant frog, continuing to hunt other large creatures.

With Uchiha Mikoto and the others now settled in Fire Source City, he had no more concerns.

After a morning of searching, Shishou found several large creatures. Once his phosphorus-decomposition insects had devoured them, they finally reached the threshold for evolution.

Arriving at the indicated location, he discovered they were Root operatives.
Believing that causing trouble for Danzo was always a good deed, Shishou decided to pause the evolution process and quietly followed them.
